This is a very fun game. I just started playing it and the level of detail and depth is going to keep me hooked for awhile. Definitely worth checking out if you like these kind of games!

This app is "Nethack done right" for iOS devices. A smooth and intuitive interface combined with the game depth you would expect result in a really fun gameplay experience.

I love classic Nethack because of incredible amount of races, options, monsters, abilities, and items. The only problem with it is that the graphics and interface make it difficult to play. Pathos fixes this by upgrading the graphics with actual textures and sprites and adding a much easier to use interface, but at the cost of some small features of the original such as some actions and item uses. There were also some optimization issues on my iPad 3 such as high battery usage, slowdown when playing, freezing when opening control or Notification Center, occasional crashing, and the game using so much memory that it is killed immediately upon leaving the app, which is especially bad if you didn't save. I am also unable to send these issues, possibly because I don't have mail set up. But despite all this the game is most definitely worth downloading, it's incredibly addictive and fun.

Pathos takes all the complicated key mapping from PC rogue likes,and turn them into a nice,simple,phone friendly interface. With all that said,the game is still as difficult as NetHack should be,and just getting to floor 10 could be considered lucky for most. If you like roguelikes,you have next to no excuse to not get this. Suggestion for the dev, a randomized campaign generator would be cool.
