Ease of Use

Tom T 75

Readily able to find words. Good history of words

Offline mode

Tredwell Abrams

To use this dictionary offline you have to purchase the premium version of the app. Dictionaries such as Merriam-Webster give you offline mode for free.

Swipe Left to Right Disabled

hdhdidbeosodnxjdiajdbdbc

The ability to swipe left and right to go back and forth between words was disabled on this version. Bad idea.

Doesn’t work without internet access

Aweryfo

If you want a simple offline dictionary, this is not the one for you. It used to be straightforward but after countless updates, it doesn’t work unless you’re online. Absolutely recommend against this dictionary app.

Sorry I am not a subscriber.

Lady Moreno

Just downloaded the Oxford dictionary to use an occasional basis, but keeps asking for premium sign up all the time and becomes very pesky until you do so, or in my I case quit the app. Will go back to using the old book hard copy version.

Don’t bother unless you plan to pay

immagoaheadandreviewthis

If you’re looking for a free dictionary look elsewhere. One word per day limit on the free version and you’re liable to wind up with a definition that simply refers to a different form of the same word (e.g., “sagacity: the property of being sagacious”). The OED is obviously a great dictionary, and the app is not bad, so if you’re willing to pay for OED, it’s probably worth it. But there are plenty of free resources out there that are better than the free version of this app.

???

Eall?

Great app. You should totally get it

Awful !

jody jean

One word maximum per day and I’m paying $20 / year !

Dissatisfied

rottenable

I paid but it doesn’t let me use the dictionary off line and I can’t get a communication line to get help

Greedy app. One word per day!#?!

RonzMusic

It wasn’t limited when I first installed it. Now it is. What a crock of manure and an insult to users. No, I will not upgrade - that would cost more in a year than buying a hard copy of the Oxford dictionary, which I already own and is infinitely more satisfying to use. Good riddance.
