The overall product does its job satisfactorily. However, when opening the app you get a pop up that keeps reoccurring saying give us a five star rating. You cannot lower the rating from five stars, which is completely obnoxious. When I wrote to complain I received a rather sarcastic response that they would look at my request and see if making a change was viable. Viable? To stop manipulating reviews isn’t a matter of doing the right thing for Mobi Systems, it’s a matter of “viability”. The one star rating is for the company’s lack of ethics, and to bring a little balance for all of the forged 5 stars.

This dictionary is very good for me because It helps me get definitions for my vocabulary tests and it is better than Mariam Webster’s dictionary THANK YOU ?!

I actually bought both the Merriam Webster Dictionary App and this app. Compared to the Merriam app I’m disappointed. This user interface is less intuitive and the audio quality of the pronunciation feature is terrible. More than that, the audio doesn’t work unless you put headphones in. It’s annoying to say the least when you have to plug headphones in to listen to a word pronunciation. That being said, the definitions are better than the Merriam app. So overall, the Merriam app is a better experience but this is a better dictionary.

Basically working fine. But there some frustrations, - This app need a little much time to launch - When app is online mode and network is very poor condition, app freezes long time in launching. It’s very irritating me - Word pronouncing audio completely stop background audio playback of another app. I need restart background play manually. It’s very bad experience

I read old books, so many words are not found in American or online dictionaries. Can’t go a day without the OED!

Personal use as well as finding the definition of words for which I know how to use but struggle with explaining the technical meaning when granddaughter asks, “What does that word mean?”.
