Disconnection

I’ve contacted through the chat multiple times and always just get back an email saying it will be dealt with. The audio is constantly cutting out and after I complained the video started cutting out as well. It’s getting to the point where I am starting to think about a different brand/device.


App could use improvement

The sock is wonderful, but the app has issues. The current sleep session never updates to real time (if it’ll even update at all), and sometimes the app won’t connect to base station.

The app doesn’t work. Basically stays searching for base station all the time. Follow owlet page on Facebook and everyone is always having problems. Call customer service and all they say is sorry it a problem with app. Ok what am I supposed to do with sorry?? $300 down the drain! They also say they can replace because it’s a problem with the app!!! So freaking frustrating. Save your money!!


Sock is great, camera is not.

The sock has worked almost flawlessly, but the camera doesn’t stream to the app every few weeks and none of their troubleshooting fixes it. It does come back, but sometimes days later. That is just unacceptable for something so expensive. Too bad because when it works it’s great.

The battery last a very long time. Simple because my son sleeps practically all day everyday. He sleeps on his own but I still like to keep a close look out. He was born with breathing issues and is now doing wonderfully at 4 months old. Honestly best purchase ever.

App doesn’t work

We have been using the Owlet monitor for 5-6 weeks & the app has connected to our base station maybe 5 times. We have been in contact with Owlet customer service multiple times (and they all have been very nice), we have replaced the base station, reset the base station & sock, we have deleted & reinstalled the app several times & continue to have issues. We were even instructed to lower the security on our wifi signal because the Owlet reps believed the system wouldn’t work on a higher security; seriously!? Why would someone make a product that required such a thing? Also, they told us that the base station requires periodic updates (which can cause issues with connecting to the app if you do not maintain the updated versions) okay....well they also stated that Owlet does not send out update notifications & the only way to know your product needs an update is to call them & they will tell you if the software is up to date. REALLY?? While it appears that the base station is monitoring our child, we can never see the vitals on the app. It’s very frustrating to have paid $300 for a product that we are not able to use all the benefits of.
