Great except for geography issues

Ever since it began, they still don't get geography-based searches. You can't enter a town name you're in or going to. You have to guess their idiosyncratic geographical hierarchy (which puts Eastern Shore of Maryland in a Baltimore neigjborhood). Really?

I just wish more restaurants were available because I mainly go to restaurants that are on open table.

This app is so convenient and easy to use... especially while on vacation in 'unfamiliar dining territory'. The reviews are helpful as well, (although some need to be taken with a 'bag of salt'!) We use Open Table all the time and have introduced several friends to the app. It's also convenient to go right to the restaurants' websites! Open Table helps takes the guesswork out of dining out! ?

Keeps demanding I write a review, so here's a review

The app keeps asking if I want to write a review. I get three options, yes, later, or no. And yet when I click no, it asks me again a few weeks later anyway. Here, OpenTable, here's my review: your app's functionality is marred by its irritating trait of demanding feedback instead of just providing functionality. Bad job, OpenTable. UPDATED: And even now that I have written a review, it's STILL asking me if I want to write a review! UPDATED: Asked again if I'd like to write a review, so I'm back to say: OpenTable's app is bad.

Very simple to use, it allows you too easily search through restaurants and make reservations.
Go to app when you don't know where to dine

This app makes getting a reservation easy and painless. I use it from my phone or IPad when traveling so that I have a reservation when I want. It also allows you to leave a comment to the restaurant which is handy. Restaurants seem to want to honor these reservations so that they don't get a bad review. Sometimes my Open Table reservation has allowed me to cut through a long line because my reservation supersedes walk-ins I appreciate the feedback from other diners also.
