Have found this app to be clumsy and often not intuitive. Generally don't like it but better than calling the restaurant I guess

This is a fantastic app for both iPhone and iPad. I've used it both to book a table at favorite local restaurants and to explore great places to eat while traveling.

I really love the watch app for this. Opentable is a perfect fit for taking advantage of the watch's features. I have had Opentable since before there were Apple devices. The App was clunky originally. But now it's great, much much better selection of restaurants, much easier to manage. I love the reservation functions (including cancel). I love that it ties to my Apple watch and helps with directions while I'm driving to the restaurant. Just a quick tap on my wrist tells me a turn is coming up. I don't even have to start up GPS. This is one of the VERY few apps I allow to run in the background. The full menu attached is excellent and reliable, and they even have specials, when the restaurant elects to add them. Bottom line, this app has steadily and significantly improved and it is now my very favorite food app. I also love that they mostly stay out of it when it comes to ratings. In the past year (since Urbanspoon left us ;;) I've used it a lot. In past reviews, I've asked that they keep up with adding only quality restaurants .. And this they have done so very well. In fact, other restaurant apps do NOT have reliable ratings (yes, really popular ones), while OpenTable manages it. KUDOS for that! That is probably the number 1 reason why I love Opentable.
Great way to find and reserve restaurants
Gourmand at heart
Open Table has become my go-to source for restaurants outside of NY City (where I still start with Zagat) and the quickest and most convenient way to book tables virtually anywhere. Bonus points that add up to meaningful cash rewards are a nice plus.
