I’ve used this app for several services on my Honda CR-V. I love the new instant quote feature and ease of same day booking. I don’t generally look forward to having my vehicle serviced, but Openbay provides peace of mind and makes it virtually pain free.

Great app. Used it several times to service my Honda Accord. I had a brake service done and several oil changes. Was traveling in MA and needed a repair on my Honda. Didn't know many service stations in the area. Heard about openbay on the radio. Gave it a try. Had 12 quotes to service my car in a matter of minutes. Highly recommend.

Non-starter for old vehicles

Not what I’m looking for. The first thing you have to do is register your vehicle with the app. The years available start with 1990 and VIN’s must be 17 digits. I’m trying to find a local mechanic for my 1976 Ford Maverick (11 digit VIN) so the app wouldn’t let me register. Disappointed.
Time and money saver

My battery light came on during my ride to work and I could smell something burning. A co-worker recommended this app to me and gave me his promo code - $15 off my first service. I instantly got 5 quotes for a new alternator and booked my service for the same day. I had the truck towed over to the shop and it was finished a few hours later. I now have piece of mind in the event of another breakdown and confidence to use it for any service I need in the future.

I submitted a 30,000 mile service request and received 5 quotes within a couple hours. 10 minutes later I submitted another 30,000 mile service request for a zip code 25 miles south, and got another 5 estimates...from the exact same shops, but this time each was $60-$80 more! From THE EXACT SAME SHOPS. I went in to a local shop and without even seeing the app’s quotes, they did the work for $50 less than the lowest quote this app gave me. Avoid this app and avoid the shops that are on their network. Scam.
