Really unique idea, great app! I have found a number of good shops on this app that have performed excellent service on my car. From oil changes to water-pump and thermostat replacement. If my car ever needs a service, open bay is the first place I checked for a good deal. I don't recommend going to the STEALERSHIP to get basic services done (unless you want to over pay). There are only a small number of things I take my car to the dealership for (mainly diagnostics since they know Volkswagens best, but I go elsewhere for the actual work) Use my promo code to get a $10 credit- 2tdnpe

I requested a quote two weeks ago to get my A/C compressor replaced. Someone called me the same day to let me know she was working on it. I let her know that I lived in Atlanta, and I needed to get this done asap because no air in Atlanta traffic in May is no good. She assured me she would have quotes in 24-48 hours. I got a message in the app a week later saying that she was "getting her people on it". It's been another week, and still no quotes. It's not like I live in a rural area where there might not be as many options. I live in metro Atlanta. It's not like it's a repair that's unusual. Part of me wants to keep the app to see how long it actually takes to get a quote, but I think I will just delete it and find my own quotes. Don't waste your time. I could have had this fixed 10 days a fox
Charged me even though job was not performed

I was charged for a job which I never actually got because they available time didn't fall within the time frame that I needed to get my breaks done. However, despite not going to the mechanic, Openbay still charged my credit card $318.88. When you go on the app, the customer service number listed (1-888-9090) is not an actual or complete phone number. This seems like a little bit of a hoax for me. If I'm not refunded I'm going to the better business bureau. I'll never use an app like this again to book services. How can you list a customer service number that is not a real number ?
Great app for finding an auto mechanic

Wow! New to Chicago and needed to find a mechanic to fix the alternator on my Audi A6. Used one within the Openbay network and I am very pleased. They did a great job, for s great price. I was able to make an appt with the app. And they even called to check to be sure things worked out ok! Will use again!

This app is all for the mechanic and NOT for the consumer ! Don't say I didn't warn you ! Find a mechanic through a friend or family member because this site is 100% for the mechanic !

I've been using this app for a while now and it has become one of those apps like Uber where you wonder how you used to do the things it does before you got it. I can't imagine calling for a taxi or trying to flag one down now, and I can't imagine calling someone to schedule a car service either. Really happy with Openbay!

App works great. Needed a head gasket replacement ASAP, and after being put on hold by a local shop, I downloaded the app and had 12 quotes sent to me in an hour! I even booked my appointment right from my phone, and went in that day! Shop even vacuumed my interior (talk about above and beyond). The next day I got a follow up call from Openbay asking me how the service went (also above and beyond). Not sure how I ever got my car serviced before.

I was a little apprehensive about OpenBay, but considering I use the internet to get my groceries, shopping, and even dates I gave it a shot. Quotes started coming in within the first few hours - connected and was happy with the service.
