Drawing tool now tied to subscription

KariDawn1

After using ONSONG for 7 years, successfully using the drawing tool to make annotations, I needed to upgrade to a new IPad. However, now ONSONG will not allow use of the drawing tool unless you upgrade to their subscription service. This is a deal breaker for me. If they cannot or will not restore my drawing tool, it is time for our band to move to an easier and more user friendly system. SONGBOOK offers the basic tools without the hassle.

Used for years - the best

G. Cool!

I've used this for years. Simple easy. Love it

No Longer Able to Annotate

BassProCM

The latest release has removed a key feature that existed when I bought it and put it behind a subscription paywall. I’m no longer able to annotate the music. I can no longer use the app. A great way to lose users is to take away features.

Disappointed

Wylum

Probably a fantastic app. Wish I could find my way around it. Do you have a printed instructional manual for those of us who don’t have a computer, internet only data through phone service. Trying to navigate this app with my iPhone XR has me back to carrying song books with me. I would appreciate any and all help.

The MONEY GRAB

8 ballwill

OnSong used to include it computer editing version called console, but now it is by subscription base, and it is really high priced. It is very SAD to see it happening again. I have NEVER bought a app based on subscription so I would get dinged again and again. It is NEVER going to happen to me.

Frustrating

I’ve been using Onsong for SEVERAL years now. I’m a loyal customer. I have never experienced a glitchy-free Onsong. It ALWAYS crashes, at least once every performance. Because I have hundreds of songs in my Onsong database, it’s hard for me to completely stop using it. But I’ve run out of patience now. Half of the time when I write something with my Apple Pencil and I exit out of it and reopen it, my writing’s no longer there. I’m just tired of giving my money to a product that is ALWAYS glitchy. I work with a lot of highly successful artists in secular and CCM as a musician so I use another app for those type of performances because I can’t trust this to not crash or lose my notes. I’m so done ugh

New version....how do I go back?

BadMarvin

I paid for this years ago, and have been happy...I moved to each new version without thinking...suddenly with 2020, Drawing stopped working, saying I need to upgrade one more notch...to get something I already had? I contacted support and they were quite helpful...but I felt like I was being gaslighted....I finally came up with “here is my old iPad still running 2019 and it works, here is the new iPad with 2020 and it says I don’t have access to that feature.....support: crickets..... Big question now, do I wipe my new iPad and restore it from the old one? Lot of trouble......my .02 never upgrade anything until you have to....don’t fix it if it aint broke...

Where is my best song provider

Seminary Marine

With the latest update, Onsong removed RWTC as a music provider without warning to us, the users, and apparently without informing the support department at RWTC. If not restored in the next 48 hours, I will be dropping Onsong in favor of another app.

Money grab. TERRIBLE customer support

Colin mcgrubbers4

The app is good. Could use some fixes here and there but works well overall. However, after the new update I lost the ability to draw on my songs. I contacted customer service, a person named Kendra, and got a message to try restoring purchases. I replied back that this didn’t work and she never replied. I opened another support ticket and Kendra answered with the same exact message (either automated or copied and pasted). It’s been 2 weeks now. I think a $30 app should have better customer support than this. I also see other people with the same problem posting on here and it looks like they are copy and pasting the same message to them claiming it’s a “bug” and to contact customer service through a ticket. The problem is, I never had to buy this as an add-on, as it came with the app when I had first purchased it. They are grabbing for money now, charging for already-implemented features. My ticket numbers are below, please do not ask me to contact customer support again. I am definitely considering moving to another app if they won’t give me back what I paid for. My ticket numbers are 17464 and 17236

This program is glitchy- don’t buy it

billshepherdkeys

I am very frustrated with this program. It is constantly losing song charts. When I try to sign in it says no account found but I am using it every day. Customer support is weak. I would like to be able to speak to a person. They told me to upgrade but the program won’t allow me to log in saying I don’t have an account but I use the program daily.
