Pretty cool but needs work

Not a bad app. I've sold several items quickly and it's easier to post than other sites. One thing I don't like is that you can't delete items that are sold and ones that have messages, thus cluttering the app when looking at what I have actively listed. Update: started using this app again recently after taking about six years off and the same issue persist. You can’t just delete a listing which is very annoying. Also, I deleted a conversation and it keeps showing up. I’ll probably stop using this app again soon and not recommend it to other people.

This app is a BIG joke!! So many scammers on here selling thing. I resently payed for a iPhone 12 by cash app and the seller never showed up at the meeting place and never answer anymore of my messages. I made it lest 10 reports on the seller and customer support never got back to me about the problem. I highly recommend you do not install this app they DO NOTHING about the scammers on there app selling things. Here’s how you can tell it’s a cam they are selling it really cheap or give it away for free if you text them wishing them happy birthday anniversary or the birth of a child with a screenshot of the posting. I’m removing this app from my phone. Wish there was a way to rate it with -10 stars !

Terrible first impressions and terrible app overall

I downloaded the app to help sell some power tools. Before even making an account, I get on the app and immediately littered with cars from either car dealerships or scammers selling at prices that are too good to be true. I make an account and put up a saw that I’m trying to sell and within 30 minutes of putting it up it’s taken down for violating their intangible items policies. I check their policies and saws are banned from the site, I search for saws and find multiple but mine was taken down before even hitting an hour of putting it up. OfferUp doesn’t leave you with any good impressions. I can see why most people don’t like them now after seeing it first hand. They promote scammers like crazy. They haves many ads on the app despite having so many in app purchases for being a large company. And they treat people who try to sell anything that isn’t a scam terribly. I’m willing to change my rating if they fixed all these things but it’s been going on for years from what I’ve seen in other reviews so I don’t have any hopes. If you’re trying to selling or even buy anything on this app don’t bother. Update: I’ve been using the app past this review and can wholeheartedly say that this has got to be one of the worst apps I’ve used for selling. It’s full of scams everywhere you go and The people who use it are by far the worst of the worst. I’ve only only had one good interaction, everyone else either thinks they’re above you and insults you when you say you’re not giving your listing to them for free or ghost you after making plans to meet up and buy the item. The app itself gives you notifications saying someone wants to buy from you when there’s nobody actually replying to your listing at all to try and get you to open the app after it thinks you’ve been away for too long. A couple of my listings got set to international shipping without my knowledge after I originally set them to local meetups only. The last straw happened today when I got one of those notifications I talked about earlier and opened the app to find out my account was deleted for not being a real person but it’s okay because it gives me a reason to delete this app and never use it again. I highly suggest you stay away from OfferUp as much as possible.

Good sales app, crashes more then I’d like. A lot of scammers but that’s not their fault, sold a bunch of stuff, you will have a lot of silly offers, again not their fault. If it didn’t crash so much(every few hours) I’d give it 5 stars

I wish when someone has something posted they would respond. It doesn’t matter how long they have had it posted if it’s still available please respond. If it’s sold please delete the post. There is nothing more frustrating then when u find something u want and then the poster doesn’t want to respond?
