Clean interface, but extremely limited

Fogster39283

This is one of the nicest-looking OBD-II apps I have seen. However, this free version is extremely limited.

Unhappy

It only connects about 30 percent of the time

Meh

Doesn't like to connect

WON'T Clear Codes, OR RESET, w/o a $15 purchase!

TrevG1975

WON'T Clear Codes, OR RESET, w/o a $15 purchase! It will ONLY show you the generic non brand specific codes and WILL NOT clear codes without a $14.99 purchase. A TOTAL waste of time. And I can buy a better app for $5-10. MISSLEADING

Worthless

Purchased the $30 connector then upgraded to the $15 pro version of the app. Total waste of my money and time.

Not Happy

Total waste of money to me. Although everything on line says that it is free the Apple App Store sent me an invoice for $3.99. This "paid" version basically tells me that I have a truck, it is running and has an OBD port which I already knew. It doesn't tell me any useful info, error codes and certainly won't erase error codes without upgrading to the Pro version. I got a lot more information from OBD Car Doctor which is totally free. It gave me the error code, told what its definition was but was unsuccessful at erasing the code (although it tried). If I could get my $3.99 refund I would probably spend $9.99 on Dash Command. I still do not understand why the App Store invoiced me $3.99 for a supposedly free app!

Ripoff

Bought the pro version finally able to connect, all this software shows is the gauges on my dash , MAF, engine load. Have to have the pro model to reset check engine, can see 2 ECU units but no info. Waste of time and $ the company did return a response from a email but it was not helpful. This software does not support the dozens of sensors my truck supports what a ripoff.

NO Graphing, NO Misfire counters

Chris Reed

I was really excited to get the KIWI 3 and download the pro version of the app only to be disappointed that there is no ability to graph data or view misfire counters. I wish I researched the app more before purchasing. I read some blog posts on their website and assumed that the screen shots I was looking at were standard across all platforms.

Free version won't reset trouble code

Bnhpgp

I got the free version intending to try it out before purchasing the full version. I had a lit check engine light on the car. The app failed to detect the light was on, it said there were no trouble codes and when I hit the reset button it said I need the pro version. Not very useful! Establishing a connection was unreliable, I had to keep trying to connect several times before it finally took. I felt a little like I was baited and switched because nowhere in the app write up did I see that you need the pro version to reset, besides, even with the pro version I don't see how the poor communications would improve. This app is not for me.

A little misleading

Overall the app seems to work pretty well with my ELM327. Just be aware that if you want to reset a trouble code you need to pay for the advanced features. The description makes it sound like you can download it for free and reset the codes.
