Disappointing

AriesGrrrrl

Wanted to love this program, but walked away very disappointed & completely frustrated. I reached out for guidance and was basically told we are so sorry, but then offered nothing to make my experience worth it. Tried this program twice, wasted almost 8 months and no help at all. Wanted support and got apologies

No syncing of account on multiple devices

Greta Wade

As a person who relies on 2 devices throughout the day—my ipad and iPhone—I am surprised that Noom allows you to be logged into one account on two devices at the same time BUT they do not sync. THis is a serious design flaw. They don’t seem to be able to fix it. What this means is that if you listen to videos on your iPhone while you are driving, and then go to update your food on your ipad later in the day, the ipad will have no record of your progress. This is so basic in a cloud-based system.

Keeping me on track to a healthier person.

This app helps me stay on track.

These people really know their business

I’ve been using Noom for about a month and have lost 22 lbs. I’m really impressed with the app. I originally thought I would hate counting calories but their app makes it so easy I actually like it. The lesson are timed so well with what you are experiencing you feel like they are right there with you. No special food needed you just have to pay attention to their guidelines what types of foods to eat. Thanks Noom

Great idea, needs to be a bit easier to use

Noon is awesome at teaching you healthier ways to eat and still allowing you to indulge sporadically. But the calorie tracking function needs some work. For example I wanted to log 10 strawberries. The most it will let you do is 4 otherwise you have to go into other measurements and it goes by grams, oz, or calories. There should be a way to just input 10 strawberries and it calculate the calories for you. Most apps have this function. Another thing that would be helpful is if allowed you to input calories based on tbs, and cups but a lot of food does not have that option and instead I’ve been googling the calories and then I putting it into Noom. That’s a lot of unnecessary work when I’m already busy as a college student, go to work and own a business! Hopefully they can change it and I can Use this app later. It also doesn’t have a HIIT workout selection under workouts

Finally, some hope

I am just getting started with Noom and it is very easy to follow and you really do feel the support along the way. I truly believe this is my final healthy lifestyle plan I have been looking for. Thank you Noom!

Good but glitchy

AZ Mommy

I’ve been using the app for almost two weeks and it has been really helpful at keeping me accountable for my meals and exercise…I noticed a few days ago that the calories are wildly inaccurate when I log them first in my Lose It app and they pop up later on Noom - the number of meals and calories don’t match at all (making it look like I’m way overeating). I reached out to my Noom guide but have had no response yet.

Overpriced & Overvalued

HShanklin

Noom is basically a simplified version of many other less expensive or even free apps that offer pretty much everything Noom offers. The main difference is you can be paired with a coach. In my opinion that is the only benefit to Noom. They offer “custom” exercise and nutrition plans, but they are not custom to the individual. The questions the software asks makes you think it maybe custom, but it’s as generic as they come and for the $50 price tag they slap on it you would do just as well downloading any number of free of lower priced exercise plans. Their nutrition information is extremely limited and simply breaks food down to three colors Green, Yellow, and Red. The app tracks your calories, but does nothing to suggest how to break that down between carbs, protein, and fats. The nutrition is where they lost me. I get that there is a lot of psychology involved in their app and I can appreciate how that can help some people. However, there are ways to get actual customized service tailored to you and your goals for the same price or less. That’s my $0.02 worth.

Noom has been a lifesaver!

Dis-Pleased

I gained lots of weight during the Covid shut down and decided to give the Noom program a try with a goal of losing 80 lbs. Starting slowly losing weight and feeling healthier immediately. Four months into the program my husband of 50 years passed away. The Noom program kept me focused, grounded and caring for myself during the most difficult time of my life. I kept losing weight. Now entering year #2 with under 10 lbs to go to reach my goal weight. Thank you, Noom!

Can’t use across devices

Dodo Dunder head

Program can not be used across devices. Doesn’t sync from iPhone to iPad. iPad not compatible with your Apple watch. Can’t access exercise and health information on iPad also. So if you like to use your iPad, not for you. Aside from tech, the program has little support from coaches, I haven’t had a check in with mine yet, was suppose to be 1x per week, I think. And the lessons contradict each other, are repeated and I know it’s silly but have spelling errors, just not professionally done.
