Noom

Noon is a wealth of knowledge, a friend and a teacher! I’m enjoying the program.

Helpful information for changing eating habits

8cmda7

We are taught the psychology behind our eating habits and how to change them gradually, sprinkled with cute humor. There’s also the option of having a coach, which is nice. The only part I gave up on using was the food log. When it works you can tally your intake and see what’s green, yellow or red. These are food categories with calorie amounts that you can eat of each. This part crashed too often for me and the log doesn’t have as wide a variety of foods as other apps. So I just use my other food log app instead.

Where did all my material go

I was working w Noom and stress and calming down. Then one day it’s all gone and all of the info I read and worked with was gone. Thanks for the heads up Noom.

Danger! Don’t trust the calorie calculator

Mindcleaner85

The app is computing caloric intake incorrectly. It’s telling me to eat an extra 700 calories a day, which if I do I will gain weight, not loose it. All the other calorie counting programs are computing the number exactly what my doctor recommends. This app isn’t. I tried filling out a ticket and got nowhere. They told me to reinstall. The problem isn’t on my end, it’s on their end. They need their app dev team to figure out why the caloric computation is off.

Not great

Mecalpes

I am a stay at home mom and as you can imagine the “me” time I have is not a lot. I exercise anywhere from 30-45 min a day and the heaviest time of the day for eating is dinner time. I cook all my dishes and I’ve found that is extremely difficult to keep track of my caloric intake with this app, I can’t log my dishes correctly and half of the items I buy to prepare are not in Nooms database so as you can imagine my caloric intake is completely wrong on this app and it defeats the purpose of tracking if I have no idea what My intake is. I simply don’t have time to meticulously measure everything because my life is busy and I have my baby as my number one priority. I loved Noom, and would have loved to keep using it after the free trial, but if I can’t log my meals correctly then is just not worth it because I have no idea if I’m staying on target or not. I don’t think Noom was designed for people that cook their own meals, staying on top of logging every single thing is so hard! And also if you made let’s say a pasta with several ingredients it doesn’t do a breakdown of the caloric intake for one plate, just the entire pot of pasta ! Is truly a shame, the app has sooo much potential but Im cancelling the free trial it doesn’t work for me.

The App is Too Slow

Luddy70

I used Noom before and the program is good. But currently the app runs so slow I just can’t use it for logging. I’d they get it fixed the program is worth checking out.

Love the app, but….

I like this app and what it does but after the free trial I don’t think I’ll be continuing. Because they want way too much for this program which I can’t afford. But I will be taking away a lot of useful information so hopefully I can continue without having to use it.

Good app, but started running VERY slow

cshono

Used to work fine. A little clunky interface at times but I liked the app. As of late, it now runs very slowly if not completely unresponsive altogether to the point I can no longer enter meals into it.

Working Great So Far!

AaronB1979

I started Noom back on August 20th of 2021, and as of today, I’m down nearly 60lbs. My goal is to get to 175lbs, down from 285lbs. Noom is great for me in the respect that I like doing things independently. Besides the lessons, the Noom app allows you to easily track calories, how much water you drink, and exercise. They also offer some pretty good recipes that have made changing my eating habits super easy, at least for me. Noom is about long-term results and reasonable moderation. I still get my cheat days in, but the app helps keep me from doing that too often. Finally, it’s actually exciting to get on the scale each morning and see the results. Definitely works for me!

What it takes to get started with boom

MessBruc

It seems tricky to get started , you have to pay for a start up, then the monthly subscription, then you want people to pay for the app.?????? I feel this program is not honest after spending 11/2 hrs giving all the information you requested. I’m very disappointed ???
