Amazing app, better multitask / splitscreen support would be great
sblum77

Amazing interface and feature-set for implementing GTD methodology. Really like the efficient multiplatform support (currently using Nirvana via web interface, Android phone and iPad with no synch issues yet). Only feedback at this point is that Nirvana doesn’t appear to fully support iPad multitasking. I’d like to have email open in a window with Nirvana open at the same time which I can do, but Nirvana remains in full screen mode. That means i need to drag email window left and right to access all Nirvana functionality. Relatively minor issue and I’m very happy with Nirvana overall.

Best GTD app
JPrus

This is the only application I’ve seen implement GTD in a fantastic way. It is quite simple, minimalist yet powerful in its functions. Works on iOS and the browser is fantastic. Additionally I faced no problems when editing offline as it synced the information that was new from my other device while not deleting that information which was added. Beautiful application, only complaint is that it would be great if you could have shared accounts so people could work in groups and within my startup I have to unfortunately use Asana because of this. Regardless, great app! Plus the payment of one time is reasonable and nice on the mind for not having to think about it once purchased. Thanks Nirvana team, you made a gem!

Utilitarian and promising

I’ve been using lots of GTD apps for quite a few years. I finally left Things after their lack of web/PC support and after surveying the landscape, have been using Nirvana for the past 6 months very regularly. The functionality of the app is great. They really picked the right feature set and this is a powerful, no-grills implementation. It’s seamless between mobile and web and has most every feature I need. My GTD life (and resulting actual life) have taken a big step forward since using Nirvana. however, it still has some room to improve: - The UI feels a bit unresponsive and clunky. It’s a bit slow and their are no animations or niceties. It works, and it works well, but it lacks the juiciness of Things. - The app is rarely updated. In fact, it feels completely dead right now. The blog hasn’t been updated for a year, the software hasn’t either, and the Twitter activity is rare. I emailed the developers once and they were prepping for a big reveal of a glorious new reveal this past summer, but nothing. I really hope the team had enough money and are still thriving. - It’s a small thing, but multiple select in the web browser is really bad: you can only lasso one direction and it’s really finicky. It’s nearly impossible to see what’s selected and items seem easy to unselect. This just seems like a no-brainer to fix but I’ve never noticed any changes or improvements to anything in half a year. Overall, I still recommend Nirvana, but I don’t absolutely love using it. I still support them as they are still the best option out there for me, but I hope the team adopts a more incremental release model. (I’m a game developer and very biased towards “early access” and incremental updates, this is how we roll and I’d never go back. I don’t think it’s merely a preference though, I think it’s a superior way to go)

Interested but app appears to be abandoned?

Wanted to try this app but last update and blog entries are over a year ago. Don’t want to invest time in migrating to a gtd tool that may have been abandoned?

My favorite todo app
JoshBeck

I’m a big fan of the GTD workflow. And, I have the challenge of needing something that works on iOS and Windows. Omnifocus is a very nice app, but has no real Windows compatibility. My options for real GTD apps for both platforms are pretty limited. One of my favorite features of Nirvana is the ability to snooze todo items. Keeping my view focused on what is actionable is very helpful for me. I would love some additional polish on the iOS interface, but any glitches I’ve found don’t bother me much.

Fantastic GTD Manager
matthewwbaker

Love the web & mobile support! This is the best GTD tool I’ve found and a crazy value compared to others including Omnifocus and Things (both great options that I’ve used in the past). If your working in GTD - try Nirvana!!!

Almost perfect App
rlcarbonell

Everything built has been perfect. To get the extra 5th star, I would encourage you to build an AppleWatch app for the Siri Face.

Subscription based w/ little to no major features
Young Jizzo

$5 monthly for recurring tasks?! There's so many apps that do this for free. Swipes and Taskade are one. I've barely used this app (less than a day) and it's already deleted. If I could rate half a star I would.

Great GTD and to do app
Andyspop

Very clean and easy to use, low to no learning curve. My only wish list? Notifications (I prefer e-mail) and calendar integration (G-Suite). Nicely done!

Brilliant

After trying several apps, spreadsheets, calendars, and paper notebooks, I've found Nirvana to be my most effective GTD implementation tool. Always available online and on my phone. Please make a macOS app, then Nirvana will be a flawless solution!
