Only one thing missing

The app is perfect but I wish they enable us to stream the channel to chromecast, or make the channel stream live on YouTube so we can stream it on TV cause not all US channel providers offer this channel. Update: after 6 months, the new release included the stream cast. I put 5 stars instead of 4 bow. Now I can enjoy Sumo on my tv instead of tablet or phone. Thanks.

UPDATE: Gracias | Merci | thank you so much for fixing, 20 of July. 19 of July- Needs to be fixed. Continue to receive "cannot connect to server". I was able to watch it the day before receiving notification.

Better video player

I would like the video player to be better, the current one takes a long time for the pause screen to disappear, it should hide/show with a tap. I can't seem to add a notification of when a specific program will air any more, please fix. Also, an option to choose the video quality would be good too. ありがとう！?

Cannot fast forward or rewind VOD

Excellent access to Japanese culture & News

I've visited Japan twice and always come home wanting more. Recently discovered the NHK World app for my iPad and for my AppleTV. From news shows (without any kind of typical western slant) you can keep up on newsworthy events from Japan, Asia, the USA and the rest of the world. Some of the news anchors/reporters don't have the typical western polish, but honestly, I find that very refreshing. They have many shows designed to inform you about Japanese culture with a heavy emphasis on travel. The iPad app also has access to basic Japanese language learning and lots of fun shows that will introduce you to Japanese culture.
