Had a slight problem connecting everything only took about five minutes to find the problem layout of the application is very simple

Love how easy it was to set up.Just wish I could figure out how to attach my two older ORBI satellites to my new router. I looked at every piece of advice and nothing and I’ve tried has worked.

The Orbi devices are fantastic and work amazing but this is the App Store and a review for the app. It is complete junk. The interface is god awful, clunky, slow as heck. Setup is long and drawn out. Then they nickel and dime for: security features, product support, and crazy enough parental controls (all separate purchases btw). What Wi-Fi app these days doesn’t allow me to pause a device, I have to pay $70 per year to do that, cmon Netgear. You honestly can’t really do much with this app unless your paying all the yearly additional costs. So the app is kinda pointless unless your always restarting or changing you Wi-Fi password. The Eero app is what this app should strive to be. Unfortunately those routers didn’t work well in my house so I’m stuck with Orbi as they really are the best. I hope they take everyone’s feedback, stop charging for parental controls, and really improve the app.

After tweaking (sans meth), I have managed to get the network to work fairly well. But still have some bad spots in relatively small house (<2000ft2). My main gripe however is that every time I update the app, I lose my saved passwords. After resetting the app password, which has been saved many times to my iPhone, I then have to reset my admin password. It’s ridiculous that I need to spend a half hour with this after every app update. Overall, the app has fairly limited functionality, as well. (My main use is to boot my kid off the phone - network.)

If you click on secure you can’t get back to main screen without an account. Also if using the security you can’t trust a port forward to work. Helium mining will not work with security enabled and port forward!

Initial Set Up is pretty easy. Improved an older Netgear NightHawk system. Was super rock solid first 2 months. Now it’s getting glitchy. Just like most Netgear stuff. But for $600+ I do expect it to be flawless for 5 years. I use many Sonos products that absolutely depend on a real Mesh WiFi system. Lately they randomly disconnect from WiFi which is utterly irritating. Sonos diagnostics says to update Router of course.

Off late I am unable to see either the 2.4g or 5g at one time on my app. It’s either or Restarted etc but nothing.
