Great Move

Purchased the Orbi router with satellites after our cable tech suggested it. Super easy to set up, and it’s mine so I don’t have to pay for the cable companies router anymore.

Not a good start. Just dropped hundreds of dollars on new WiFi and the app doesn’t even ask for the right permissions to set it up. I’d think someone from Netgear would have done this in there QA process but I guess not. Wonder what other bugs there are here…
Router life stinks

2 year old, rbr40 3 piece system stopped working 2 years to the day. Piece of junk. It’s not even heavy enough to be a door stop.
Does not have the same features of the android version

Does not have the ability to identify the strength level on different locations and it appears the android version does. Also it would be nice if it told you what different light error messages are in the app. To get any useful support you have to pay which I did because I spent so much on the router. The device seems to be OK when it’s stable but they need to really do a lot more work in making it easier to set up an address problems that occur during the install. I hooked up to Google Fiber and it was a nightmare but once done it was stable. I hope somebody at Netgear actually reads this and works to improve the user interface and the set up.
Worst product and even worse app

All they want is to sell additional services and support with a product/app that was never made properly to begin with. You want help for an inferior product pay them.
