So far so good. Just scanned in my first reciept

As far as the app alone everything is nicely laid out and pretty straightforward, making it easy to follow. It’s clean to look at, easy to read and use. For the most part, it’s very well designed and user friendly. However, I’ve now used this app for quite a few months and have found a few areas that could really use improvement. 1. Almost all of the instructions and specifics about scanning (what to scan, how to record coupons, etc) are only on the NCP website, not in the app. An instruction page or even a link to automatically open the website would be super helpful! Even better would be to have all the information in the app but either way would be a great convenience for the user. 2. I also use other apps and ATMs, etc, that can read things like a handwritten check, and recognize one dollar bill value from another...it would save so much time if I could simply scan/photograph my receipts instead of individually scan and record pricing for each individual item. I understand that sometimes clarification of purchases and values are needed (coupons, etc) and that’s fine. But I tend to do a ton of shopping at once for my large family and it’s frustrating to bring my groceries inside and then spend twenty minutes (or more!) scanning and reporting every single thing before I can even put my groceries away. Sometimes I just don’t have time for that ridiculousness. 3. There’s bonuses given for recording purchases on a regular weekly basis. If I want to keep earning those bonuses but made no purchases during a week I have to report that I made no purchases. Why isn’t there an option in the app? “Scan new purchase” : “no purchase”. Done. Instead, I have to contact NCP directly just to say I did not make a purchase. It just seems like extra effort. 4. Again, there’s bonuses given for scanning purchases each week...but apparently I’ve missed a week before because my time zone is different than the app/ncp system! Seems unfair to me...when’s my cutoff? There’s no way to check/review past submissions when sometimes that would be super useful. Like I said earlier, I make large shopping trips for my family and sometimes it’s hard to keep track of what I’ve already recorded! When dealing with an average of 2-5 receipts I can easily forget what I already scanned. As I said, for the most part this app is great but a few tweaks and improvements would make it fantastic.

I’ve been a member since 1992, but just now found out about the app. So much more convenient instead of keeping up with a scanner. The only issue I have is that the scanning feature times out too quickly while you search for the barcode or grab another item.

You build up points for shopping, just have to watch your points as they are not added to your account correctly and I don’t see where the bonus are added correctly either. They need to fix those bugs

I have done other survey/rebate apps, however this one for me is a much longer process. I did not receive a scanner so I’m using the app on my phone. 90% of the time the app does not scan the bar code or can’t find the bar code even though it’s there clear as day. I have been having to manually put in all barcodes! I don’t have the time for that. I feel like I’ve been putting in orders and barely earning points to redeem for one of three rewards. Overall I’m not impressed!

I just downloaded this app yesterday and went to the store. I had no trouble logging my purchases. I did watch the YouTube videos that were emailed to me. Easy peasy!!!

The booklet that they give you the barcode reference booklet is very difficult to use because the app locks onto the barcode so fast it keeps scanning the wrong items other than that so far it’s a lot faster than using a black handheld scanner that they gave me to use
