As far as the app alone everything is nicely laid out and pretty straightforward, making it easy to follow. It’s clean to look at, easy to read and use. For the most part, it’s very well designed and user friendly. However, I’ve now used this app for quite a few months and have found a few areas that could really use improvement. 1. Almost all of the instructions and specifics about scanning (what to scan, how to record coupons, etc) are only on the NCP website, not in the app. An instruction page or even a link to automatically open the website would be super helpful! Even better would be to have all the information in the app but either way would be a great convenience for the user. 2. I also use other apps and ATMs, etc, that can read things like a handwritten check, and recognize one dollar bill value from another...it would save so much time if I could simply scan/photograph my receipts instead of individually scan and record pricing for each individual item. I understand that sometimes clarification of purchases and values are needed (coupons, etc) and that’s fine. But I tend to do a ton of shopping at once for my large family and it’s frustrating to bring my groceries inside and then spend twenty minutes (or more!) scanning and reporting every single thing before I can even put my groceries away. Sometimes I just don’t have time for that ridiculousness. 3. There’s bonuses given for recording purchases on a regular weekly basis. If I want to keep earning those bonuses but made no purchases during a week I have to report that I made no purchases. Why isn’t there an option in the app? “Scan new purchase” : “no purchase”. Done. Instead, I have to contact NCP directly just to say I did not make a purchase. It just seems like extra effort. As I said, for the most part this app is great but a few tweaks and improvements would make it fantastic.

I absolutely love this app!! You get rewarded for every shopping trip you make, and can get cool stuff like Amazon cards!! It's so easy, and really fun to participate in. I have been using this app for several years. I have complained about this issue at least three times and I’ve not seen any change. When I open the app, a black box tells me “Loading, please wait.” It will go away for a minute and then come back again. It never completely goes away. If I waited until that box went away, it would take me three hours to get my groceries scanned. I usually ignore it and keep on going, trying to read through the black box. It’s really annoying.

I think the idea of this was better than actually doing it...at the point gain rate I am at, I will never get a reward, yet you have gain lots of product information from me.

I basically like the app and recording purchases to let companies know how consumers purchase. However, I don’t enjoy having to enter in price for some stores (Publix is awesome because the price is pre-loaded on bar code from store). Nor do I like having to tap the type credit card because I only use one kind. I don’t mind the extra clicks but it would be best if it could be avoided!

I tried for several years to become a NCP Panel member and finally got the chance about 4 months ago. I have enjoyed sharing my purchases, experiences and opinions and seeing results of polls. It’s great to get points and other things in return also!!

Love using the app, easier for the non barcode items that I would always forget to do with the scanner.

A lot better than old scanner, much easier. Only problem is sometimes it won’t focus on barcode and have to delete and reinstall app.
