I can no longer view the news on the app in sykesville md’ logging into Directv doesn’t work,I watch the news in woodbine via ota antenna,it works some using google but is buggy Best Buy commercial plays perfectly ever time its loaded

iPhone X here. Latest update causes pop-up showing volume control every time I open a story with video. Terribly annoying. Fix it, or I will finally delete this app.

This is an app for a broadcast network station — that is to say, you can watch it for free over-the-air, if you’re in the right market. However, inexplicably, a precedent seems to have been set at some point, that “free” television offerings are not free to stream; you are required to be subscribed to a pay-TV provider in order to watch broadcast television live streams. I’m not going to mince words: that’s utterly asinine. I guess they don’t actually want cord cutters watching their commercials... so I’ll just watch Hulu’s commercials instead. (Not that much more appealing, really... but at least it’s actually an option.) App deleted.
Why am I required to have cable to watch “free” app?

I have no tv, no cable. I can’t watch “free” TV Unless I have those two items. Rip Off! I like to know what is happening around the country. DEFINITELY NOT FREE!!!

I’m from N MD around Westminster so I was use to WBAL 11. My girlfriend lives in Leesburg. She turned me on to news 9. It just seems to have better and broader coverage. The weather girls are easy on the eyes too ?. The app is as good as the stations news broadcast. I would have given it 5 Stars except streaming the news is a pain. So I have to watch the news on TV. Fix the streaming and I’ll come back and give you 5 Stars.

When trying to view the live broadcast it will just buffer for long periods of time. When I do get video it’s usually some tidbit of a commercial, but it always goes back to buffer.
