Navigation in the NBC sports app has gotten to the point where it appears the developers have never seen a touch screen before. This app works like it’s the first attempt to put a blog into app form and they took a blind stab at it this go around. Sports feeds (baseball and college football) have disappeared without notice or explanation and navigation is choppy and slow. I went from checking this app daily to removing it entirely after the most recent update. Don’t bother, find a better sports app or check the website. This app would have been unacceptable in in 2010.
Sporadic Streaming Issues, no PnP

This app is mostly reliable, but it’s not uncommon to run into streaming issues like stuttering and freezing. Even though it is not super frequent, it happens enough to be very frustrating, as there is never a good time for it to cut out in a live sports event. Usually, you need to force quit the app (or even sometimes when the streaming recovers by itself) and you’re forced to watch an ad before it’ll start playing again, losing even more valuable time! Finally, any sports streaming app NEEDS to have picture in picture to be worth 4 stars, IMO. Add PnP and improve reliability and itwill be a 5-star app.

Why does the game only stream in Spanish and the English version does not load on my iPhone?

The former “scores” app was far superior to this app for the purpose of reading articles. The sports talk module in this app reloads the most recent articles every time I close the app so I have to scroll to the article I was just reading and beyond to catch up. The scrolling is all over the place, makes the screen go sort of crazy then the articles repeat themselves. Not efficient and is a downgrade from the scores app. Only plus is the trolls don’t have an obvious place to complain anymore...

I used to use sports talk as a primary source The new version is awful. This is retrogression at its worst. Need some UX people to look at it

If I could rate with negative stars I would. Impossible to navigate, no comment feature, goes back to the first story when you hit the back button. Deleted

I had been reading NBC Sports as long as I've had an iPhone and loved how I got my baseball, hockey and football news in one place. I checked it more than ESPN. But this new app has so many problems, I don't think Dr. Phil could help it. Let's start with getting rid of Hardball Talk. Terrible decision and they didn't even bother to replace it. Craig and his great team deserved better. Then I thought it was odd how College Football Talk hadn't updated in a month, the last article published I believe was about the Big Ten canceling their season. Yet when they decided to have a season, no mention of it, and then it was taken off the app completely. The last straw for me was trying to read Peter King's column. Any time I tried to scroll down and read more, it would move me to the next article. NBC Sports app, you used to be my worldwide leader in sports, but lately, you're just like ESPN.
