The Navy PFA App is current with the most recent version of 6110.1J with full support for the swim and bike alternative cardio events.
The Navy Physical Readiness Test consists of push-ups, curl-ups (sit-ups), and either running or swimming. The Navy Physical Readiness Test (PRT) Breakdown is as follows:
NAVY 1.5 MILE RUN TEST:
The run event consists of running 1.5 miles as quickly as possible. Any combination of running or walking is allowed to complete event.
NAVY CURL UPS (SIT UPS) TEST:
The curl up score is based on how many curl ups you can do correctly in two minutes. Resting is permitted.
NAVY PUSH UPS TEST:
The push up score is determined by how may push ups you can complete in two minutes. Resting is permitted, but only in the up position.
PRT SCORING:
The Navy PFT score is found by averaging the scores of the three fitness events.
To graduate boot camp, a sailor needs an overall category of "Good (Low)," which means their average in three events must be 60 points or greater. After boot camp, to pass the periodic Navy fitness test, a sailor needs to be in the Satisfactory (Medium) category, or above, which means they must have an average score of at least 50.
Not doing the 1.5 mile run? Quickly see how many calories you need to do on the bike. With a database of approved bikes it has never been easier.
Please note - we have made every effort to make the app match all possible standards - but PRIMS will always be the official standard.
Otherwise it has been pretty faithful, but needs an update to replace sit-ups with planks, and add rower.
Great app used it for about 2 yrs now. However needs to update regarding the planks and rows that have been added.
The app is very good and it does help you to track and determine your PRT score with accuracy. However, if you have a iPhone X or later the screen looks smalls. The app needs to be upgrade to the latest iOS.
Standards are out of date for PRT (does not have the plank) and for BCA (does not have the single waist circumference measurement). Useless
App is easy to use but it needs to be updated to have the planks instead of sit-ups.
Was beneficial previously but with new PRT standards curl ups are now irrelevant. Need feature to track the forearm plank.
