Got a notice the US operations closing

Perhaps this is a good thing in Europe. But this points out the “risks” of these “cool” bank startups in the USA. Got a notice 18November2021 that after only “2” years this bank is closing up operations in the USA and closing all USA accounts. How nice is that for inconvenience if you “fell” for their ads and got direct deposit and what not. Emptied my accounts and cut up my card. Never doing business with these guys, too risky! Too shady! You’re better off with Navy Federal or SOFI!
No Explanation??

Update: They are shutting down in the US. I wonder why? ? Tried to open an account and was told to contact customer support. They denied me with no explanation. I don’t have bad credit, no outstanding debts, Make above average salary and they wouldn’t give me any explanation as to why. I’m obviously going to a competitor now but it amazes me how they turn down a well qualified person with no explanation. Well no loss here so many others to choose from.
Closed my account with 24 hour notice

Sent notice Thursday that my account would be closed due to focusing on European business and then closed my account less than 24 hours later early Friday morning. I’ve been using N26 since it became available in the US, absolutely unbelievable. My company cuts checks on Friday and now I won’t get paid until N26 returns the check to my employer. As a result I am left with no funds during a time where I was already scrapping by and barely making it check to check. Thanks N26 for ensuring I won’t be eating or having any fuel to even get to work for god knows how long and probably making my financial situation worse than it already was the last few weeks.

This company is trash. They refuse to allow you into your account. Even with all your account info. Including state issued ids. They are not insured via the united states and they ARE NOT AN ACTUAL BANK. THEY STATE IT CLEARLY IN THEIR FINE PRINT! Ive been trying to get into my account for months even with a physical card. Id card and all the information. They still refuse me access to MY OWN ACCOUNT.
It was all good I until….

Signed up for This card, everything was going good. Then all of A sudden my employer emailed me saying that this account was not accepting my deposit anymore. I called customer service and they say they sent an e-mail asking me to confirm my identity. I explain to them I never got the e-mail, they ask if I used and iCloud address. I tell them I do, they proceeded to tell me it doesn’t work with iCloud. Suggest I sign up again using a Gmail account, that puts me in a wait list! Very frustrating!
So secure. Useless.

I am trying to comply. Impossible to satisfy their requirements. So glad I have Wise. These people here are way to bureaucratic. Cost me several EUR without any benefits. No thank you.
