First and foremost, I’m really disappointed with this bank’s customer service. Like many reviews on here, I was told that I was the problem. Here was the situation: Four of my cards failed to send funds to my account, all failing with the same nondescript error message. All four cards worked in Europe, with no issue, and I got no “suspicious activity” alerts from any of them, meaning the banks hadn’t rejected any charges. Talking to customer service after a ridiculously long wait, I was repeatedly told that I should take the concern to my banks, not N26. I tried another online bank, Bunq. The first time, they clearly gave the right error message: they only accept cards that originated in Europe. So easy! I’m an engineer and I really respect user experiences with descriptive error messages. I’m also a human and want customer service help me instead of defensively shooing me away.

Very simple and clean cut and dry app does exactly what supposed to do

Absolutely terrible customer service !!! Customer service I’ve received in my whole 43 years of dealing with any kind of bank or financial institution or anything that has customer service for that matter. More than one customer service rep did everything that , several customer service reps attempted repeatedly to transfer me to somebody different or promise to call back and it was for the most simplest of problems or issues also . I thought that it may have been an isolated incident but every time I spoke to somebody or what not it’s like they do this kind of thing when training employees

After using this as my primary bank for about 2 years I can say that this sort of online banking alternative is not the way to go. Everything was fine until the chip on my card started occasionally malfunctioning. I reached out to request a new card be sent but they did NOT let me know that I would be unable to use my current card in any form until the new card comes in the mail (2 weeks later). This also prevented me from sending money to my s/o to use in the meantime via venmo despite being linked to the bank account. Their account and routing information is not recognized on either their own external link services or on the other banks end. After many hours of useless information from N26 support, and both capital one and Citibank being unable to recognize their transfer I will be without any way to access my money until I get the new card in the mail, at which point I will be removing all my money and closing this account. Definitely do not rely on these people as your primary source for banking. If you do not have the debit card they send you, you will have way to access your money in any way.

Full of crap

I had this card for a year or two and everything was ok til they updated the company. Then they closed my account before my due date. I won’t have cared if I didn’t need gas to get to work the rest of that week. So they closed my account and held my money until they felt fit to give it to me never trust these people with your money.

Terribly slow

2FA for card payments is unreliable and slow.

Old Icon. But why?!?!?

Guys! Your app icon with the green and copper was by far the nicest coolest flyest icon on my phone... When you made that change a few months ago I literally thought I was seeing into the future of design. And now with the new update you've gone back to the old lame 2D "N"... Lame lame lame. Shame shame shame. Let your designers design!

Too many limitations to be considered innovative

guess!!!

No SWIFT, no Wire Transfer, no integration with Plaid or Wise. No value added over a brick and mortar bank.

Stick to a reliable bank

As long as you don’t use it too much with small amounts like as a backup account it’s ok. But be aware if something happens and you need their help. I would never put a significant amount in this account. Mine got closed even though the chat person confirmed everything is fine. Stay away

Always there whenever I need them
