Not very easy to use

I can only give this 3 stars and only that reluctantly. Using the bar code reader, it only enters the title. I’ve used a similar db (which unfortunately was discontinued in the US) that entered all the other values like run time, genre, #of discs, director and a description, as well as all the types of formats it came in for that version, like 4K, bluray and digital for the certain pack. You can’t even add the entire types of formats in his app. You also have to manually add all he other information. Since I can do that on the discontinued db (its bar code scanner is what doesn’t work) this is only marginally better. This app is also poorer in its presentation of the dbs when done. It’s also “busier” to work on and visually figure out. I really wish Library would reestablish its app for the US, or someone else would copy it.

Wasted money and, most of all, wasted time. Disrespectful developer

I bought this a year ago, roughly, after I tested the free version and asked the developer several questions about it. He answered the questions very promptly while I was still shopping. Then I bought it and I started using it. I spent days creating the containers, taking pictures of the items and containers, etc. Than I noticed that the database was not really syncing between the iPhone and iPad. I messaged the developer from within the app. But I continued to spend days working with the app, thinking that, if I use only my iPhone to log the items in, I should still be ok until I sort the sync issue out with the developer. Now, that I bought it, it took threats that I am going to post a negative review to get the guy to answer, at about the rate of one answer per five messages. I have about 900 items in the database and a lot of containers. Each should have between one and five pictures. Now the pictures have disappeared in about 90% of the items. So I can't find what I'm looking in the app anymore. BUY THIS ONLY IF YOU HAVE WEEKS AND MONTHS WHEN YOU HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN WORK WITH AN APP THAT WILL GIVE YOU THE ILLUSION OF ORGANIZATION WHILE, IN EFFECT, BEING WORSE THAN throwing all of your stuff in a big hole in the ground.

Scanner lookup issue

DJFRFd

When I look up a product using the scanner only the pictures are accounted for no details/names/description of the product! Please fix this issue!

OMG so BAAAAD!

Downloaded this app for a trial run but the button to scan a new item is totally hidden! That is the one major function of this type of app - to scan barcodes to quickly add your item to a database - and I couldn’t find the CTA to initiate the process! Why would you bury the #1 action button and force the user to dig and dig! I could not complete the #1 test of “will this app find items from my collection and quickly add accurate data to a Database?” so it failed the test right off the bat.

Have been using for years, excellent app. Thank you for the continuous updates and bringing back the product search for those times barcode scan doesn't find the item. Be very proud of this app you created !

Slick app when it works

I have no criticism for the functionality of the app - it’s got a lot of power and flexibility. My big gripe is that MyStuff2 Pro is a downgrade from the old version, for a few reasons: 1) It’s really janky and prone to locking up. It shouldn’t take over 5 minutes to enter a single CD. 2). It’s really slow to save new entries. 2) The database you’re accessing is light on data. When I can succeed in getting a CD barcode to scan, it imports the title, sometimes a cover image...and nothing else! I still have to manually enter artist, genre, and format. Update: App no longer allows entry of new artist names in the music database. Took off a star from the review. Update: Dropped another star from the review. App no longer allows manual input of anything.

Absolutely great

C'mon folks. OK, so there is a learning curve but I am 76 and I figured it out. Overall, this is a full featured and powerful app and does everything the developer claims. I plan to use it to designate beneficiaries in my will for two of my collections. Paid more for this than any other app ever but it's worth every penny. Only owned it for two days. Every function tried including barcode scan has worked and no crashes.

Good ideas, seller has no intention to provide customer support

I bought the pro version several months back. I had a couple of questions that were promptly answered by the developer. THEN I started to have issues, mainly with the database backup and synchronization. Basically, after all these months, I don’t have a full sync between my iPhone and my iPad. Things I put in months ago either don’t appear on the iPad or are incomplete... saying syncing. Since I bought the app the seller did not answer a single message of mine - and I must have sent him 7-8 of them. No, I am not recommending the app. I found no alternative though... EMAILS ARE BOUNCING BACK AS IF THE SELLER DOES NOT HAVE A VALID EMAIL. THIS IS THE FIRST SIGN OF AN APP WITH NO SUPPORT. DO NOT BUY!
