My Bright Day

My Bright Day will replace Bright Horizons’ traditional paper Daily Experience Sheets, allowing parents to access information about their child’s day in real-time. Parents can also use My Bright Day to provide information about their child’s activities prior to arrival at the center; access previous Daily Reports, photos, or videos; and update their notification preferences.

HOW IT WILL WORK:

At drop off:
Parents will enter the details typically provided via the paper Daily Experience Sheet including when their child woke up, last ate, was diapered/went potty, notes etc. Parents can do this while at the center, before arriving, or just after drop off.

Throughout the day:
Teachers will enter details of meals/bottles, diapers, naps, activities etc. Parents can login to the app at any time to see how their child’s day is going. Additionally, photos or videos taken during the day will be shared via the app.

At the end of the day:
Your child’s Daily Experience Sheet will be made available on the app. Parents will no longer need to remember to grab the paper sheet!

Accessing Memories:
On an ongoing basis, parents will be able to access a history of all past Daily Experience Sheets, photos, and videos. We hope that families will enjoy this convenient way to see how their child has grown and changed over time!

Great app but not optimized for viewing on smaller iPhone SE screens - screen is shrunk

Please update - Good app

This is a useful app as a parent, but it needs to be properly updated for iPhone iOS 11.

Communication Option Needed
The MLR

I absolutely LOVE this app and use it on an hourly basis. Having the ability to see photos and a log of my children’s activities makes me feel at ease throughout the day. BUT this app would be a 5-Star if it had an option to communicate with the providers. A way to “text” them with updates about arrival time or little notes without disrupting them via phone.

Great app

I love this app for getting a summary of my child’s day. It’d be great if the WITW portion was a little easier to read - perhaps if you click on the photo attached to the paragraph, the photo and paragraph got larger (not just photo) and you could swipe to the next paragraph.

Great app! Would love a way to message teachers
Claud9ia

This is a great app — I use it to see my kids’ pictures and activities during the day and feel connected to them while I’m working. It would be great to be able to send messages back to the teachers in order to let them know if there is a change to pick-up time or to ask a question. Perhaps this might be disruptive to teachers, but maybe a limit of 2 or 3 messages per day would be helpful so as not to overburden them with too many messages. I also wish the app integrated with the pictures we put on the Bright Horizons Family Info Center for parents and authorized pick-up persons. That way, teachers can verify if a grandparent or extended family member picks up with a simple picture. Thanks for your consideration!

Potentially Great

Just need to fix some bugs and add a few features and this app will be solid. I’m on the latest version of iOS as of this date. I can’t click on a picture of my baby that was uploaded to make it the size of my screen. I think the photo updates are the best part of the app but what’s the point if it doesn’t work. Otherwise I would give this app 5 stars. Still awesome otherwise.

Nice concept, app functionality needs updated
LyncAdmin

I do love to see the notices about my little guy throughout the day. Love the concept too. As an Application Development Manager myself, I’d suggest the following: 2 way communication to the daycare center. With me being a nursing mom, in meetings most of the day, but at times able to get away...it’s be nice to be able to send a message to the teachers letting them know I’ll be there for the next feeding so don’t warm up a bottle. Selecting the times things happen the day prior is horrendous. Often times, my little guy gets fed late at night and sleeps through the night...he doesn’t like to eat first thing...thus, his last feeding time would be pm the day prior. Try doing that....it won’t let you unless you press the minus button 30 times to get it to go back to the prior day... All in all though the concept is really nice! Just needs a few updates.

Bad
baaaaas

The app keeps logging out. Slow. Wonder why they don't enable touch ID like.most new apps do. Still stuck in the past by sticking to passwords.

Great app, not perfect
AnneCordelia

I can't get the sound to play on any of the videos I get.

Nice! But can't download the videos/photo
TipsforImprovement

The app is nice, but I am unable to download any pics/ videos of the kids.. I am unable to share or keep a copy for myself for future as the download or save option is unavailable. The videos especially since for pics I can take a screen shot atleast. Please update the app to include options to download/save videos/pics.
