I love being able to see what activities my son is doing each day. I also appreciate the notes from the teacher. However, these are the things I’d like to see improvement on or added: 1. As many parents have already mentioned, a notes feature POST-check in to the teacher would be beneficial. Currently we have to email or call the main line to leave a message, which is a waste of time for everyone. 2. I’ve only had the download picture functionality for ONE PHOTO. Sometimes there are some great photos or videos of my son that I’d like to keep as a memory of him. 3. Allowing users the ability to rotate videos sideways for larger viewing. Do you know how hard it is to see anything on an iPhone when you are forced to view a video in portrait mode only?

I love the app, being able to see the day of my girls and pictures is priceless!!

Overall I like the app., however it doesn’t allow you to communicate with the center after your child is checked in. I can’t add a note or respond to a comment or question. It also does not send all of the notifications I chose. I only get notified when I drop my child off and an occasional note added. That’s it. It consistently doesn’t load or doesn’t load appropriately. Ex., I can’t leave a note because it’s “refreshing” and “loading”. After an hour I stop trying. Notes, meds etc dated in real time while memories are from a month ago.

It would be nice to be able to download more than one photo at a time on the app.

I’ve asked before and need to PLEASE ask that the makers of this app please change the position of the RESET button. It’s the most insane placement, RIGHT UNDER THE RETURN KEY! So, anytime you hit return to close out notes you wrote or create a new line within your notes, you are at risk of deleting ALL of the notes you wrote for the teachers to keep in mind for the day. It has led to so much time wasted, and has led to me providing less and less notes. Maybe this was the intended effect?????

The app gets the job done and presents all the data about my child and her day in a consumable format, but wow, a button called “Setti...” for Settings? Feels very sloppy. Take a look at Brightwheel to see what another child care journal app looks like

Anything more than 1 star for this app would be given simply because it exists. It’s certainly nice to see photos of our son enjoying daycare and Bright Horizons has been excellent in every way for him, but this app is insulting. Somehow the developers devised the least user-friendly way to view photos imaginable. There are numerous issues, the worst of which is that you have to click into and out of each microscopic thumbnail to figure out if your kid is in the photo. Desperately in need of a complete overhaul.
