Literally one of the worst apps for streaming content. Laughable how awful this app is. The MTV app constantly crashes or freezes anytime you try to mirror through AppleTV. Good luck even trying to stream! Content won’t load. Hate this app with a passion.
App not efficient

This app is no where near as user friendly or sophisticated as other apps: 1. You have to sign In with your TV provider (which is fine). But it signs you out at least 2-3 times a week... and is inconvenient to constantly have to log back in. 2. It does not sync across devices - so if you’re watching on your phone, do not expect your roku or iPad to remember where you left off. 3. Rewinding and fast-forwarding is AWFUL! For instance - I had watched up until around the 30 minute mark of an episode on my iPad . I then tried to resume the same episode on my phone - I had to first watch the opening ads in order to fast forward. Then I fast-forwarded until a little past 30 - had to rewatch a group of ads. Then realized I had gone to far - rewound (remember I’m guessing where I left off because it doesn’t sync) - and then had to watch another group of ads. I frequently have to watch 3-4 ad groups before finding the right place and getting back into the show. 4. If you’re used to the speed and adeptness with which Netflix and/or Hulu load — then you’re going to be frustrated with the long loading times of MTV episodes. 5. Unfortunately this is the only way for me to watch The Challenge - which I’m obsessed with. So I’ll continue to use the app - but it could use a lot of work.

I used to love this app because access to my favorite tv shows, unfortunately there must be big problems. It keeps asking me for my provider which is Optimum by altice, yet when I attempt to log in it says I must use altice One as my provider despite it not being an option. Meaning I have rely on the 24-hour pass or just delete the app. Very frustrating!

I thought having an update for the first time in months would fix the issues I’ve had with this app, but they just made different problems instead. Not only do the ads freeze and cause my app to force-close, they also mute themselves and then mute the show I’m trying to watch. Also, episodes will randomly cut off to a black screen and tell you “this episode is not available.” I can’t remember the last time I was able to get through an episode without having to re-start the app to either get sound back or get the show back.

This is hands down the worst streaming app I’ve ever used. I stream all of the shows I watch through my chrome cast, and they all work perfectly except for any show I stream using this app. Every time I try to pause, rewind, adjust the volume, turn captions on/off (does not matter what i try to do) it restarts the stream. Then when I try to fast forward to the part that I was at, it makes me rewatch commercials (4 of them! And sometimes it doesn’t realize I watched them and makes me watch the same 4 again)! It’s absolutely terrible! Worst experience I’ve ever had with a streaming app. Would give zero stars if I could.
