Coming from Telltale, it's no surprise that this game provides an immersive storytelling experience. This game really pulls you into the story from the second you start playing. I loved the pacing, in particular (the game has periods where you have to wait several hours before a character responds to you) since it seems to mimic the real world experience of texting. That said, it is just that - texting - so if you don't like reading, this isn't your game.

Don't bother purchasing. Game locks up and doesn't allow progress past a certain point. No fixes and no refunds. Save your time and money, and look elsewhere.

I would hardly call this a game. Takes way too long to get responses and your responses are limited to three options. Lots of meaningless texts too.

This is unlike any game I've ever played. I really hope they fix it. I'd love to play it completely. There is a point where the messages start to repeat and I'm kind of upset. Hopefully they can fix it.

This is a pretty clever idea for a game, the interface fits the game, and the dialogue is very well written (well, a lot of it is very poorly written but that is to the writers' credit). In fact, one of the challenging parts of the game is that many of the characters are so annoying that it is a little annoying to interact with them (again to the writers' credit). They even seem to be annoying to each other. There were a few times when I was thinking "oh my f'ing god, just shoot me." Well done. Unfortunately, there are some problems. The game is a little buggy. At one point the dialogue seemed to force me into a dead end, then it just started replaying the recent events that got messed up. It was almost as if the game started from a previous save point, so, not game-breaking, but it was strange to see a bunch of the previous conversations repeated twice in my message logs... Also, the central conceit of the game requires one of the main characters (who is paranoid, very observant of human behavior, etc.) to not recognize that you are not who you seem to be. There are story-related reasons to support that, but it still didn't sit quite right for me. 3.5 rounds to 4.

I didn't have the problem some other folks describe. Communications did stop from time to time but it was obvious that was intentional. Only problem I had was that I could not tell what to choose because I never knew the goal clearly. Still had a good time playing and would play again. Worth the $.

Hello friend. If you're unfamiliar with the show Mr. Robot, this game is not for you. Treat yourself to the first season, available wherever tv shows are sold or stream it on Amazon Prime Video. If you're into it, and you either will or won't be by episode 3, then go ahead and buy this game. I'd highly recommend starting your playthru once you get to the halfway point of season one, as that is almost exactly when this game takes place. As for me, big fan of the show and I loved the game. Would definitely buy and play another one if they made it. Loved the interface and the timing of messages. I felt like I was really in that world, talking to the characters. Very well written and true to the tone of the show. Anyways, it'd be really cool if in a sequel D remembered you...just throwing it out there. Stay 'noid.
