Well written but flawed – Mr. Robot:1.51exfiltrati0n.ipa Review

This is a pretty clever idea for a game, the interface fits the game, and the dialogue is very well written (well, a lot of it is very poorly written but that is to the writers' credit). In fact, one of the challenging parts of the game is that many of the characters are so annoying that it is a little annoying to interact with them (again to the writers' credit). They even seem to be annoying to each other. There were a few times when I was thinking "oh my f'ing god, just shoot me." Well done. Unfortunately, there are some problems. The game is a little buggy. At one point the dialogue seemed to force me into a dead end, then it just started replaying the recent events that got messed up. It was almost as if the game started from a previous save point, so, not game-breaking, but it was strange to see a bunch of the previous conversations repeated twice in my message logs... Also, the central conceit of the game requires one of the main characters (who is paranoid, very observant of human behavior, etc.) to not recognize that you are not who you seem to be. There are story-related reasons to support that, but it still didn't sit quite right for me. 3.5 rounds to 4.
