••••• Why I made Move •••••
I'm a computer programmer. I sit in a chair all day and stare at a glowing rectangle. That isn't what humans are designed to do. I created Move to solve my own problem and remind me to stretch or get my heart rate up throughout the day. This helps keep my body active and makes me feel better at the end of the day.

I created this app to encourage me to lead a healthier lifestyle. I hope it does the same for you.

Simple and works

I’ve been trying to move around more due working in an office on a computer all day. This app has solved my problem and reminds me with customized short exercises I can do anywhere throughout the day. It’s not a slick looking app but it’s simplicity works well.

Great app for motivation!
Brvnda

Sometimes i’ll try and avoid working out but then I get notifications almost every hour reminding me to get up and move. “No pain , no gain.” or “Move it, no excuses.” this is a great motivational app, I only use it for the quotes, i’m not quite sure what everyone else uses it for but that’s just me, lol!

Very helpful!

Great for reminding me to get up and move! I just wish I could add my own exercises to the reminders.

Good app in theory, has some kinks

Good app to remind you to move, but since I downloaded it (and even after an update) it won't do anything when I push the "how?" Button to describe an exercise

Good potential

I like the idea of this program and purchased it. I would like the opportunity to chose what I do and set I to remind me. For instance I do 15 push-ups every hour. Or 20 sit-ups every hour. If u add this I will up my rating to a five.

Decent app

This app is ok. It works, but there is definitely room for improvement. Like giving you more time to start the exercise and customizable set up. But not bad so far.

It is OK

No frills. It is worth a buck, but little more. Has no customization capabilities or access to your data.

First exercise app that gets me to move!
Jenjen8642

I'm giving it 5 stars just for that. Other apps I have to go to to do some kind of workout, or give me just a reminder, but this is fast easy and ACTIONABLE! Adding exercise to my day is definitely my biggest challenge. Who can't take 45 secs or 1min to do one simple thing. The reminders are light hearted and vary so you don't ignor them so much, and when you set frequency (eg every 45,60,90mins) it tells you how many you'll do a day. so 45mins for the start-end time I chose gave me 12 micro workouts - about 15mins. that gets me half way to my daily goal and starts a habit of moving to do more. The only downside is the lack of instructions. I don't exercise so I don't know what arm circles or full body squats are. Needs a picture, diagram or words to describe. I just use it as a prompt to do SOMETHING that it reminds me of, like just did ordinary squats or swung my arms in a circle which got the blood moving... Found out later what I should have done with my arms!!! Ad that to be a perfect app.

Needs improvement
Burningguitar

Very potential app, but needs two things: When the phone screen locks during an exercise, it switches to another exercise, and I have to keep tapping to find the one I actually did. Second, if I accidentally push "I did it" and get the wrong exercise in, there's no way to undo. Fix those two things and the rating goes up!

Genius!

This app is perfect for me. I am always sitting on my computer, this has helped me get up and move! I feel better already!
