It helps when I’m trying not to use my iPad so much but I found it sort of confusing some times.

Love, but stuck in useless loop with no support

Ugh374728262828

This app is great. But it just broke on me and the “contact support” tab said sorry, we don’t do support which kind of felt like they were flipping me the bird. I set up a screen free family time. It worked the first day. But tonight after the scheduled time was over, it would not stop sending me endless notifications to get off my phone till 7pm (long after 7pm). I restarted my phone. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. But my phone is unusable unless I delete the app. Bummer. Time to look for their competitors.

Tracks location - terrible ‘feature’

Psteapot

I was a loyal, 2+ year user of this product. However, I stopped using this otherwise GREAT app when they started requiring location tracking ‘always’ be enabled fo use the product. I would pay for the old non- location tracking version of this app if it were an option. Until then, I will boycott this app and use something else.

Tracks your location.

You must allow it to constantly track your location. Seems completely unnecessary. Deleted it.

Dark mode is failing

Cheechica

I used to use Moment and it was helpful to have reminders about my daily screen time. When the new Apple update added their screen time functionality, I stooped Moment for a while, but I’m missing the screen time goals and updates, so I downloaded it again. But it’s useless! I think it’s an attempt at dark mode, but the settings screen, where you update your goals, change your settings etc is unreadable. There are a bunch of black lines and the fonts are the same color as the background , so you’re literally just touching random lines hoping it’s the one you want and then you can’t get back to the home settings because that font too is the same color as the background. I keep checking for an update that’s fixed this, but they haven’t had one yet and it’s been weeks, so I may just have to delete it and try again later in hopes that the developers will figure this out.

Inaccurate Data

I love the idea of this app, but as far as I can tell, it’s wildly inaccurate. I don’t know if it’s accidentally shutting off in the background, but it consistently shows much lower screen time usage than I know is possible. For example, today it shows 6 minutes, and I’ve been using my phone off and on to check e-mail all day as I’ve been out of the house. The iPhone screen time feature says I’ve used it 1 hour and 9 minutes today, which seems much closer to accurate.

Still a few bugs

mrtuneguy

My wife happened to be signed into the wrong iCloud account when she tried to set this app up and it completely messed up the moment account. It added her phone twice to the account, and it appears the only way to fix the problem would be to contact tech support. Didn’t seem very user friendly in that respect. Doesn’t play nicely with iOS dark mode. Great idea, but I’m still looking for the perfect app.

Great, but buggy with iPhone dark mode...

104sdsd

I used this app for months and love it. But when I upgraded my phone and started using dark mode, the display and menus for the app were half converted to dark mode. Some text is white on a white background, some text is black on a black menu bar... the app is functional but navigating has become difficult. Please fix this bug in subsequent updates!

Tracks your location

This app requires your location in order to track your phone usage, which makes no sense

The usual...

Bought the premium version 2 years ago. Changed my phone... and every data I have been storing... gone. I guess I have to subscribe to the Moment Coach for $8 a month... but it’s an unfair way of treating customers.
