Why

Off to the moon

Well I just get this app and it lock up 4 time in 10 mins. What with that? Does this app works off line? I'm going to China and I can see my train stop I like this if it did not lock up. Also I want to mark spot on the map but keep asking the some thing to full out very thing and I did still did not work. This could a great app. Thank you Mark

Superficial

Step24

I found this app to be superficial at best, covering quite well known a publicised places. Not for an experienced or semi-experienced traveler. A waste of money.

Single Best App On The App Store, No Contest!

bigjnasty

I am an avid traveler and avid app connoisseur. I have downloaded at least 2,000 apps since the App Store was first created, and I can say with full confidence that this is the single most innovative, useful, and coolest app I've ever seen. I will use this until the day that I die! It's basically an atlas combined with an encyclopedia in a seamless, beautiful interface. My compliments to the developers and everyone involved in this project. I'll never stop exploring and learning about the world because of this app. Definitely deserves a spot on my home page!

Great Idea! Needs glitches fixed.

It's a great app, it's got everything I could possibly think of to add to a map i would want to use exploring new places. But it keeps crashing within a few minutes whenever I open it. It's would be a 5 star app if it wasn't so glitchy.

I just don't get how this app gets good rating. I am trying to use it to plan a trip in NYC and this app is just a total mess. Creating a new map is totally unclear. I add a fav to create one, ask me to create a map. Do it. Not saved as my current map. So touch my map name which now I can edit, create a new custom map. After that, the app zoom on the place I am currently instead of staying on new york. There is no clear workflow, no clear way to know what you can do, how to search stuff. I then tried to filter places to eat. Showing me like 3 in NYC with 65% bad rating. Thanks you but no thank you. Clear that I will use yelp instead for food. Then trying to discover places by picture. Search new york -> find picture for new york. Third results are falls. Neat, touch. The place is like 5/10h by car from NYC. Thanks Search. Useless. Good idea, bad execution App.

Love it. Needs offline capabilities.

Best $1 i spent in a while. What would be awesome is coupling this app to an offline gps app like Sygic or giving this app offline capabilities as some places off the beaten path or densely populated areas especially in Asia have a really bad data connection.

Excellent, except for one thing...

This App is AWESOME and I have had no problems running it (as others have posted). I love the features and it makes planning a trip a lot of fun. I just wish the App shared info between my devices. I spent a few days planning our next trip to Montana, on my iPad, then learned I could not open that trip on my iPhone. That was a bummer, but my fault for not checking first. I'll just have to tote my iPad everywhere. It's not the end of the world, but it would be great if they added this feature, in the future upgrades.

Lacking

It's a pretty app and I like the topographical map features, but it feels barren. Kind of like how Apple Maps first looked compared to Google. I put in the small Vermont towns we stayed in recently and you'd think they were ghost towns with almost nothing listed. The only stuff listed are boring places no one would go out of their way to visit. The cool restaurants with incredibly delicious food? Radio silence. So maybe it's better in big cities, but for something that calls itself an atlas this is pretty sad. I regret buying it.

Exponentially beat my expectations

I don't remember how I found out about this app, I just downloaded it thinking it might have some useful information on it, but I am seriously impressed by all of the insider advice it has! Idk where it gets its information from but just looking at the guides for places I have lived I feel 100% confident in using the info on this app to navigate new cities and plan trips. Highly highly highly recommend!!!!
