Was notified by my cable provider that they blocked a “known malicious IP from accessing this device.” Beware.

Update: Note i have motion and sound detection on! So it human detection. We’ve had several instances where people were at the front door for extended periods of time or heard very loud bang at our door and yet the camera did not record anything at the time or even after. It seems to record randomly rather than with movement or sound, regardless of settings. It’s pointless for us to pay for the cloud when it never records the vital things we need! However if you just want to be able to look in at what’s going on and see things live, it’s great. we have had no problems viewing live with this app. For example i just went outside. Stood there for quite awhile moving around. Prepared a wet food dish for the cat. Called the cat. Came nsode. Looked out window a minute later and cat was outside eating. I wanted to see where she came from (her bed on the porch, for example? or from around the corner). There is no video. the last video stopped 10 minutes before I had gone outside. It did not record me hanging out right in front of the camera nor the cat arriving! What a waste! Total fail for security.

To anyone reading this, please do not waste your time or money. The camera is priced low because the quality and support are terrible. Support barely speaks english. Camera CONSTANTLY goes offline for no reason and will stay that way for hours and keep telling you its your network connection.. its not, its the trash camera and app. DO NOT USE.

Has the company gone out of business? The camera no longer works and the feedback option doesn’t work. It’s like no one is home.

If you’re going to respond to reviews, maybe use some tact. Also, instead of saying “fixed some bugs” on the App Store update… maybe say what they are. Otherwise this just looks like malicious software, making more backdoors to our cameras. And that’s what it is for sure. Never keep any camera connected to this software in any sensitive area of your house or business.

Version 9.1.1 fixes some things and breaks some things. New bug: Start app in portrait orientation. Select a camera. Rotate phone to the landscape orientation. Send the MIPC app to the background. Bring the MIPC app to the foreground. The video stream never reconnects on iPhone 5 using iOS 10.3.4. Oddly, the video stream will reconnect if the phone is in the portrait orientation before bringing the MIPC app to the foreground.

These people are just plain worthless. Worst app EVER! Does NOT work 90% of the time. Can't connect MAJORITY of the time. Goes Offline for days for no reason, then appears back online, then off again. CONSTANT network errors. Updates are useless, and obviously poor quality dumb developers running this show. You should be ashamed of yourselves & Amazon should BAN these people! Look at feedback and their responses, or lack of, to their customer reviews - a joke! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING RELATED TO MIPC. EVER.
