Most Essential Game-changing App

Pjam35

I've accrued/deleted 500+ apps since the first iPad came to exist in 2010. If I could only keep 10 of those apps, this would be in that list of my most essential. Here's why... Information saturation is the number one killer of ideas. You think of an idea, jot it down, research, make notes, cross off to-do lists, conduct further research, spawn sub-ideas, bounce between other apps, cross check, test theories, share with colleagues, make decisions, eliminate options, process feedback, visit websites, collect images, collect info, collect spreadsheets, arrange everything into collective & coherent thoughts that are relevant, and at some point you stop mid-thought. Why the sudden stop you ask? Because life happens, we lose interest, lose focus, develop writer's block, become scatter brained, prioritize, lose resources, lack technical expertise/throughput, lose motivation, lose organizational control, and so on... This app changes the game! I can take everything I know about a thought, subject or idea and collect all the fragmented pieces I've accrued along the way and effortlessly connect them with unlimited depths of information to build a compelling story of elaborate thoughts. It's like taking the chaos of the Big Bang and aligning everything into a systematic 3D superhighway while assigning everything into its proper lane. It's like bird's eye view of the Los Angeles transportation system. However, this app doesn't allow for bumper to bumper gridlock. An example: If you've ever watched a crime investigation movie or TV show, then you're quite familiar with this overly used scene. A detective takes all of the crime photos, statements, resources, and notes taken during a case. The detective then spreads everything across the entirety of their living room floor. It allows them to see everything in one snapshot. This is to ensure they haven't missed a single detail that could possibly crack the case. It demonstrates orchestrated thought on a grand scale so that the audience is emotionally drawn into the chaotic complexity of unfolding drama. Spoiler alert: the demonstration always leads the detective to find the most crucial piece of the puzzle that inevitably cracks the case wide open. Mind Node is by far one of the most well thought out app experiences I've encountered in quite some time. It's seamlessly efficient and effective. User friendly and intuitive. It's ready to produce in the first 60 seconds of use. The app is beautifully eye appealing, mentally stimulating and demands you sit down and start organizing your most important thoughts and ideas right meow. If you haven't paid attention to my extremely long and boring review, then here's the bottom line: IT'S PRETTY STINKING AWESOME!!!

Excellent App

Guess Who?!!!

Very useful and easy to use.

Intuitive and simple

I've used one of the leading desktop mind map programs since it's first release many, many years ago. Until now have not found an iPad mind map app that didn't feel like more trouble than it was worth. Within 5 minutes I'd become adept enough at MindNode that I could brainstorm without having to concentrate on the app itself. Love how easy it is to sync up with iOS Reminders as well.

Simple, easy, does its job beautifully

I'm enjoying using MindNode and appreciate it's simple directness. I actually like that I have to concentrate on ideas rather than getting caught up in design and layout. This is its biggest plus. That said, It gets less than five stars for not having a quick way in iOS to rapid fire brainstorm. I spend too much time poking at the screen before a new unconnected node appears and my thought has disappeared. Plus I would really like to be able to sort items in outline view. And how about more than one personal map template or let us change the pre-set ones with a revert button? BTW, I like the designs that are included.

Great app for getting ideas on paper

Excellent tool for visualizing documents, projects, processes, and just organizing thoughts

Intuitive

I love mind mapping. It's great for decluttering and ordering what's in my mind. It's equally great for decluttering and ordering creative discussion at a meeting. Last night I used it to capture minutes at a board meeting over dinner in a restaurant. That being said, I find much mind mapping software very complicated, hard to use. MindNode is easy, fun, elegant, and inexpensive.

Nice app. Could use some more features.

Would love to see better task integration and easier search/filters, but it’s got both of those in some form already and the app is worth a try. Design is visually fantastic.

Great app!

Such a great app. I use this for work and have gotten some of my colleagues to use it as well!!

Best app ever!

I am a visual learner, so this app is a life saver for studying for tests with lots of confusing subcategories. All of the other apps are underdeveloped and hard to use. Thank you for creating this app, and I hope you continue to develop this app!

Love it for grad school

I love this app. I use it for grad school all the time. My only complaint (and the reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars) is because I want to be able to connect siblings to one single child, and I can’t figure out how to do that or if the functionality is there. . / Something \ Something Something . \Something /
