WiFi required- Really?

Gvwordguy

I just wasted an hour trying to figure out why I could not access my documents on iCloud Drive. The last thing that ever occurred to me is that it required a WiFi connection and would not work over cellular. It’s 2018 for goodness sakes!

Excellent and intuitive.

Boom Betty

I have tried nearly all of the mind mapping apps out there. I had much trouble getting them to do what I wanted them to do. This one is the most flexible and intuitive I've used. There is a free app that was almost as good, and if I didn't want to do anything but maps, I would have been satisfied. But MindNode has so many extra features that makes it worth paying for if you want to use your maps for other purposes and transfer the map into other apps --like writing or blogging. You can interface with an outline of your project. Before I found this app, I relied heavily on outlines, so I'm most comfortable using them when dealing with text only mindmaps. Beyond the ease of the program itself, I love all of the formats you can save it in. I'm using it for writing a complex outline for a novel, and you can save the outlines in markdown, which means that you can import it into programs like Ulysses and Scrivener when you're finished. I'm not sure how it handles images, but text only is excellent. The syncing is very good. I had problems with crashing (because I was making an all graphic mind map and didn't remember to compress the images) and I almost never lost data --and if I did, it was almost nothing --maybe one bubble. It's worth every cent I paid.

Very good!

I love it!!!!! If I may be so bold to ask for more..

Then I would ask for a presentation mode, with the Apple Watch as your présenter key. Kinda like prezi style maybe which zoomes for you. And the ability to embed videos from YouTube or homemade ones. I can not express how much I love this app!!!!!!!!! You guys nailed the $@)&$( out of it. Please consider the additions. Thank you for your time team MindNode!!!!

Extremely helpful!

Pretty good

It works ok, its pretty basic compared to the mac version.face is clunky compared to the Mac version. I have used every mindmap tool available and this one is one of the simpler ones but it suffers from the same problem as most. It assumes you don't have a keyboard. I love mind mapping and use mindnode and simple mind on the Mac all the time. Ipad is too clumsy a device for mind mapping, all that point and clicking and then typing. What I like about the Mac version is I can just type and almost never touch the mouse so I'm extremely fast especially when brainstorming. Even when I do click on something its usually one click. On this version I have to drill in to items to get work done like attaching an image. I realize it cant be drag and drop but still its a lot of steps. So it isn't bad but could be more useful for serious users. Just make every action one tap or a keyboard equivalent so I'm not always bouncing back and forth and you have a winner.

One Stupid Bug

You can't move a node after it's been created. For an organized mind mapping solution, this should be a simple and obvious feature. Please implement!

Use it everyday

Exactly what I expected and it does its job Perfect for clustering ideas I even use it to take notes for classes

One of the best tools I've ever used

The best way to describe the effects of this application on my overall productivity, and quality of final products, can only be described with words like "ballooning," "exponential," and "biblical." The amount of information I am able to store, sort, and ultimately comprehend, in a single moment, thanks to this application, has grown in ways that have surprised me. This is the "outline" and "flow chart" models of thinking combined, but better - simply the best way to store and organize any idea(s) to see them through to completion.

MindNode is essential for planning

Bowsertune

Years ago, I probably would have planned a large project with bullet points. That's all well and logical and very "left-brain". That, however, is not how my mind naturally plans. Now I use mind maps very frequently, and that's thanks to MindNode. I had heard about MindNode a few years ago, and bought all versions, and boy am I glad I did. I can plan out large - scale projects while on the go, add to a business outline while I am in an elevator or on the train, and go full screen on my Mac for the ultimate in focus on the opportunity at hand. The design of MindNode is clean, wonderful, and clearly executed with care and attention to detail. I love the stickers as a nice visual indicator, and the fact that you can design your own user template as a default document is really something special. These definitely feel like _your_ mind maps, and not a cookie-cutter solution to planning. Recommendation : the  Watch app could be a bit more responsive. That's my only suggestion here. Thanks, Ideas on Canvas, for taking the time with this product. As a business owner, it's an essential tool in my tool belt, and I'll gladly pay for the next major version(s). You really have something amazing here.
