These guys must of did something supernatural to get this app to work this good. I've been a guitar and keyboard player for over 30 years now and I've seen midi guitar interfaces come and go, never really working. Roland makes the best, for around $800. Though this app isn't perfect it does work. Both polyphonic and monophonic are awesome. It did take me a little time to figure it out and get it to work but it works fine with GarageBand, Animoog and Sunrise, also I used This app to control Sunrise ran it through Audiobus into Cubasis and it worked fine. Latency was extremely low, not enough to effect the playability of the app.....all that for $20!!!!! Rock N' Roll!!!!!

Price vs Sales

Brilliant program. Works as advertised. The only issue I've had thus far is the bleed in the audio interface cable causes it to feed back on itself but if you lower the audio out volume it helps. If this was .99 every guitarist with an iPad would buy it. 19.99 will scare away 99% of your customers resulting in less total sales. Those that are simply intrigued would buy it for a dollar...only hardcore synth guitarists will buy it for twenty. Thank you for your hard work producing this "miracle" program.

Blast to play with!

I can't believe how well this works. I hooked it up to Sunrizer synth using iRig interface and my jaw literally dropped. It's very responsive, and it tracks chords quite well. I'm much better at guitar than keyboards, so this adds a whole new dimension for exploring different musical ideas. Velocity control would be nice, but all that's really missing is pitch-bend support. Add that feature, and this is most definitely a 5 star app!

Pleasantly surprised

I've been using a Roland midi guitar system for more than 10 years, so I've got some experience in this area. I tested this on an ipad1 which isn't fully supported, but it worked quite well. I was able to cleanly trigger sounds in the iOS version of GarageBand. Single notes and chords played equally well. I also set up a midi over wifi system between the ipad and my Mac and was able to trigger all kinds of soft synths without any problems. Tracking was great and very smooth, other than the beta timeouts. My only gripe is with the pricing for the full version. I think they're missing the mark here. By pricing it at $20 you're only going to attract a small customer base of guitarists who would have a real 'need' for this kind of tool. If it were priced at the normal app price of $1-$3 or so, you'd get an order of magnitude more people willing to buy it just to have as something to fool around with. After all GarageBand itself is only five bucks. Hopefully they'll rethink their approach here. But they've done some great work here, regardless.

Sad... So sad...

I was so excited to try this. It works at about a 20% effectiveness. What a let down and a waste of 20 bucks. I could have taken my kids out for that amount of money. Shame one me. Maybe someday I'll find a guitar synth that really works. I want my money back!!!!

Like wow man!

Having a blast with it.Going thru Morley AB box into iRigStomp,iPad 3,Boss GT- 100,Boss RC- 300.Just starting to explore all the possibilities.Need to work on finger picking skills.

Midi guitar solved. Minimal latency!!

Genius. I was skeptical but finally bought app and played around last night. Quickly paid for full version. Amazing!! I own a Brian Moore midi guitar and Roland GR20 and bought an iRig midi but had not yet to connected the rig to the ipad. Turns out I wasted my money on the iRig. Just finished head to head comparison and there is no comparison especially with latency. Midi Guitar wins easily.

Are these reviews planted?

I gave this app a long workout, playing carefully and cleanly with different guitars and pickups, running my guitar through NI complete 6, an interface made for Guitar Rig, triggering built in synth apps with Core MIDI(the fastest option). My verdict? This app is still a toy. I recorded my efforts in Garage Band and there was no way to avoid note errors and blips here and there, no perfect performance, even with the cleanest, monophonic playing. 19.99 is just unrealistic at this point. Hope to see improvements in the future.

If you are a Pro you will need something Pro, ( I have my GR55 with my Godin Guitars, no comparison ) Since the time for the trial was very little, no response with chords, the best thing was the Bass, I bougth this application to do some work out of my home recording studio......but at the end of the day is not working with iOs 7, I received a very quick answer from Ole, thanks I really appreciate it, the idea is phenomenal, maybe in the future is going to be a huge thing and of course I am ready to pay more in that case, if they update the program and I can test it finally, I will let you know.
