Where is the pitch bend

Scottybm

I have found Midi Guitar to be very close to hard wear midi, however with out pitch bend it is hard to be expressive . I was also a little disappointed not to have sensitivity adjustments for each strings note. The cord recognition is really amazing. I am looking forward to updates that will enhance expressive playability. I have given this app 3 stars do to the lack of pitch bend and the price being a little high for Ipad apps, should be more like 9.99

AWSOME..

Now first off I have to say I hate that I got this app. I now spend way to much time playing my guitar as a midi device. This has been so fun and opened up so much more to me... First off let me say I own, many guitars from old fender Strats, telecasters, hollowbody, Martins, and a ton of old and boutique pedals and tube amps from Dr. Z, peavey, Egnater, vox... The list goes on... But I do like playing. With the ipad... Here is a line up in order (kind of, of what I like and have) each area is in the order of my favorite apps. Number one app.... Audiobus - a must have Guitar amp sims... Ampkit+ Jamup Stompbox Recording DAWs... Cubasis Meteor GarageBand Multitrack DAW (yuck) Drum kits.... Dm1 Drumbeats plus Now...midi stuff... Midi Guitar Nave Sunrizer Alchemy Have some others but nothing special, that's needed for tone. Lets face it, the ipad can't replace the tone of high end amps and pedals, but wow, it is diverse.. And Midi Guitar has opened up a whole new area. So far I have played it solid for 2 or 3 days and love it. Pipe the guitar into the ipad and then out to the amp (or sound system), load up audiobus,, add name or sunrizer (I can't decide which I like more) , pipe it into cubasis , load up ampkit for switching back and forth, add stompbox in also for some nice effects, and bam... So many possibilities, you will be playing until your eyes are bloodshot and you are week for not eating for days... Great job guys, but you owe me some sleep.... So ... My advice get this app! Midi Guitar is great... well worth the cost.. and Nave or Sunrizer (both if you have the cash to spend.. It's like tug of war with me, as to which I like more) Special kudos to Audiobus, Cubasis, Ampkit, DM1, Nave and Sunrizer.... ( I suggest you get these also)

Awesome Alternative to Expensive Pickups

Most of my musical energy is spent on home recording now. As a guitarist, I’ve only taken mild advantage of MIDI in the past because it’s really a keyboard-centric technology. I’ve looked at tools like the Roland hex-pickups designed to interpret a regular guitar’s vibrations into MIDI signals, but those are a bit pricey for a novelty. MIDI Guitar probably won’t replace those for any dedicated MIDI pros, but it’s certainly great for using a regular 6-string electric guitar to record piano parts, bass parts, string parts, or even to be strummed and then turned into a virtual acoustic guitar! Occasionally the app misses a note or gets confused. But for the price and ease of use, it’s amazing!

THE BEST!

I've tried them all, and there is no comparison. This app shreds the competition! Absolutely worth the $20 IAP. Really nice !!

I had been looking for an app like this for quite a while and when I heard about MIDI Guitar I was a bit skeptical. It turns out it’s a wonderful gateway to all kinds of musical madness. I immediately paid for the full version. Note recognition is quite good using an Apogee Jam 96k. Setup was simple. I run it into Sunrizer and ThumbJam with no problem. What a blast! And it’s polyphonic! I’d love to set pitch sensitivity and pitch-bend parameters, but otherwise, lots of fun - highly recommended.

Gettin kinda crusty

I have tried the midi guitar apps and this was always been my go to. That was 2 yrs ago but the software sheriff said enuff. I jumped for it thinking in those 2 years + progress had been made. I might have missed it or my expectations were too high. $20 for this was too much 2 years ago. But $20 for on old midi guitar is way too much to pay now. My prediction is new offerings are coming around the corner. The only improvement is that I will not be asked to oopsgrade any more.

The best!!!

I am still in complete awe of this app--how in the world do they get the tracking so good? Anyway, I used the first version of this app because it was the best available option. This new version is a massive improvement, from the improved tracking to the layering with amp models to the included sounds. Bravo!

To the developers of this great software: Thank you, thank you THANK YOU!! I've spent countless hours enjoying this feat of coding genius. You guys deserve the highest praise, it must of been an insane process getting the software to perform this well in real time. THANK YOU
