I like the Outlook app but wish there was a way to only get notifications from VIP email addresses. I know it does that only my Hotmail.

good, but some warnings

so pretty much by itself it’s a great app but this is what happened. i logged out of my acc and i forgot my password. i tried to reset it and since i am not that much of tech person, i was only able to fill out some info. i had to wait 24 HOURS to see if it can be revived and guess what, i waited so long and then i found out that it wasn’t enough info.

Very disapointed

This is a very basic e mail app. 99% of the features found on the computer version of the program do not exist in this app. You can not request sent or read receipts. The signature option is very primitive. Only allowing typed signatures no company logos. No option to choose font or stationary, Not sure about previous versions, but the current version is extremely limiting. There is NO option to send feedback in their “help and feedback” section of the app. Very disappointed in this app. If things change I will update my review.

Feature request: Vibrate only for email notification

OU Matt

Love the app and some great improvements. Please add the ability to get vibrate only alerts for emails. Right now you can only have a sound or no sound at all. I don’t want to get sound alerts at night but do want to get a vibration for day to day work. Thanks!

Update

Every time the app is updated, I have to enter the password and my email inbox disappears. This is annoying and that's why I don't want to update now.

Broken App

CaptainHenn

I have a terrible experience with a glitch that makes being able to search my emails with the screen continually jumping and I’m unable to select any of the searches options. This makes the app close to useless for my travel on the go.

Outlook app issues

App does not sync up with outlook folders on my computer. Very flawed app. Would definitely NOT recommend it

Buggy and poorly designed

I don’t often write reviews for apps, but I feel especially dissatisfied with Outlook right now. I’ve had a hotmail/outlook email address since I first got an email address 20 years ago. I’ve always been happy with my email account. About a year ago, I decided to switch from my basic iPhone email app to the outlook email app — no particular reason for the switch. Immediately after downloading, my first complaint with the outlook format was that long messages were cut shorter and given a “read more” button. When that button is tapped, a pop out version of the message then has to re-load in full-size format. This causes all images to have to reload, and one of two things then happens: either the pop out message tries to find your last reading place (which fails because the images are re-loading so it continuously jumps around) or it jumps up to the top for you to scroll down again and figure out where you left off. This was a minor irritation at first, but became more frustrating over time. I’m also not a fan of navigating through open messages. It took over six months for me to realize that I could swipe left or right through open emails (this is probably not really a fault of Microsoft, and more of me being slow sometimes - but there was no indication that this was an option). Most recently, I’ve noticed it takes SO LONG for emails to download - if they download at all. Just today I opened an email from Pottery Barn, which usually has a fairly long email format. When I opened the message, it was barely longer than the title of the email and one picture. I tried to scroll down, but there was apparently nothing to scroll to. I knew that couldn’t be right, so I force-closed the app and re-opened it to try again. The same situation happened. I thought maybe it was a problem on Pottery Barn’s end. To test this, I opened the exact same Pottery Barn email in the iPhone mail app. Not only was there basically zero download time for the images, but the whole email was available with no “read more” button. This was honestly the last camel’s back-breaking straw. Why should I be frustrated reading emails from the outlook app when the iPhone mail app opens their own messages so much better and faster? I shouldn’t and I won’t any longer.

Inbox empty feature is annoying

Use app to access work email. It worked fine for 2 weeks, except for the fact when all emails are read. Annoying balloons and all done for the day message pops up.
