It's Not Bad - But missing key elements

GeorgeReview

Here are some of the things we noticed: We are connected to an Office 365 Account People : Contacts - can't select which folders are displayed you don't always want to see every accounts contacts. Further sometimes you have more than one contact table in a mailbox and you need to select which tables to use. Doesn't Support Office 365 shared folders which is a very Costly limitation it FORCES the purchase of seats and undermines the value of the platform and is an artificial limit. We have rules setup so mail is auto routed to email folders some of these folders even have email addresses associated with them. We need those foldrs to push as well as to notify. From: is only the main mailbox email addresses, doesn't support all of the available From: addresses available for that mailbox. Talked way too long for them to get these basic core functions implemented, for a "flagship" product. Group mailboxes should be integrated in this app. Shortcuts to particular folders in all connected accounts should be possible. Like a Favorites for quick access. Similar to apples all inboxes, sent, drafts or specified folders by user. Pretty much everything listed above Apples built in mail client does. Of course they use apple maps and safari instead of chrome and google maps and dont support 3rd party storage but the mail functionality issues described are 100% supported. Would of thought that Microsoft would have paid closer attention to detail at this point. Stll seems to always do an 80% job never quite being able to close the gap. Cant use the product.

Wish the developers would leave things alone

Hate changes, don’t need them. Allow ME (the user to decide whether a change should be implemented for MY personal use). Leave “well enough” alone!!! Outside of your unwanted changes, outlook is great!

Outlook dumps email

stacieansell

Outlook hangs on to my emails for 1 to 2 weeks and then dumps them all at once. I’ve missed several meetings as a result. Its my only major issue. But it is a major issue!!!!

Best Exchange client on iOS

sethadam1

Easily the best Exchange client on iOS. Perfect calendar support. Office 365? Easy! Push? Tasks? Out of office assistant? Done, done, done! Don't think about it, just download it.

Calendar bad; mail inferior...

... to the native iOS app. This app team seems incapable of truly improving their product. Since the awful and still-unfixed July update, which turned Outlook into a pseudo-social app, all mail handling is more laborious and unclear. The same mistake now has been made with the current update that buries contacts and files beneath the search glass, again adding a step. Who’s awake at the wheel? Plus, over 9,000 users have long-wanted a real monthly calendar instead of the useless agenda/dot view — Hey, MS you bought Sunrise! — and we’re ignored. An app with real potential spirals down.

Pretty good

The calendar function could be better.

5 stars, if....

Chaser207

The display needs to be able to go full screen when you rotate the device. If I turn my phone sideways now, it splits the screen with the current email and the emails in the current box. GO FULL SCREEN! Five stars if this happens. Thank you for listening to us!

Poor/Broken Formatting

Gr3nadi3r

I gave this app one star to draw attention to the fact that it sent a professional email of mine as though I had not even formatted the signature. It even added a link to get outlook for iOS. I just got it two days ago and haven't formatted any of the settings at all. Let me lay this out for you. Before sending it? A hand-typed farewell clause with my full name, spaces before and between each. Outlook for iOS sent no spaces at all, one space, then "Get Outlook for iOS now" with a hyperlink. I can't support an app that defaults to such an irritating signature. I looked like a fool sending that to a dean. And just a week before finals!

Not too shabby

Dunnbot

The app seems to incorporate my full outlook folder set okay but if you have a lot of folders plan to scroll! The icons for “Mark Read” and other options could be labeled better but I have no issues receiving, reading, writing email. I hope MS spends a little more time on tweaking the UI but overall it’s not too shabby!

So disappointed
