Amazing Cloud-Based File Management System

I’ve used OneNote for over 5 years now and the level of organization I am able to achieve by using this software is amazing yet efficient. I am an elementary school teacher, so each school year I inherit a new group of 25-30+ students whose progress I must I track and monitor over the course of a school year. With OneNote I am able to store digital portfolios for each of my students. Also Ive been able to create libraries, across subject and content areas, of instructional resources and materials that I’m able to manage and continually add to. Further I am able to document and store artifacts related to my Professional Responsibilities, something essential as this is an area where teacher’s ratings can plunge if one hasn’t taken the time to document the work you do. I’ve attempted to convince colleagues to use OneNote to collaborate over other cloud based sharing programs, but thus far my technology reluctant colleagues have enabled me to maintain an upper hand in records keeping and always having on hand an instructional tool to help a student. All in all I absolutely love OneNote and appreciate the work done by Microsoft to keep this program fresh and amazingly consistent with use across multiple operating systems and devices.

POS App

I work with OneNote at work, but I’ve never had to sign in to open the program. Then I do with my Microsoft account and says I don’t have any saved one notes and as such won’t open the program on my phone. Screw this junk. With Apple not seeming to improve their products as quickly as PC I was starting to think about switching over, but this is the third time today that Microsoft offers problems when I need solutions.

Issues. Please fix.

I have used other note-taking apps for my entire college career. I recently switched to OneNote about (4 months ago). There was definitely a learning curve with this app, and I am not a fan of the organizational structure as well as the inability to delete a notebook (you can only “hide” it). I was able to overlook these as there were aspects of the app that I did enjoy, to the point of balancing the negatives. However, lately I have been having so many issues with this app that I may be forced to give it up. Firstly, the new ink effects often don’t show as available. In order to get them to show up I have to close the app, turn off my wi-fi, re-open the app, and then they will appear. However, then the app may end up freezing and when I close it and re-open it the ink effects are gone again. The process starts all over. Secondly, sine the update the app has been freezing and/or crashing CONSTANTLY. I wasn’t even able to take notes in class today as it kept freezing on me - missed an entire lecture’s worth. Please fix these issues as I would love to continue using this app as it is rapid becoming counterproductive. Thanks.

Perfect for taking and organizing notes!!

Latest update is extremely buggy

App doesn’t remember pen styles/widths, undo isn’t working anymore, and a “waiting” dialog keeps popping up whenever any operation is performed. Not to mention sync is completely haywire.

Getting better all the time

Richard V.

I have used OneNote for years and it has been interesting to see the Microsoft Office Suite migrate into the cloud. Now that Office 365 is smoothly running, OneNote is finally reaching its potential as a cloud-based device agnostic information tool. It is seamless in transitioning from PC to iOS and that is a big help. I expect its usefulness to only increase with time.

Love one note

I really love "one note" for study, work and routine life matters. I use it for fun as well. I really rely on it!
