Less Smooth, More Powerful

Ok so I’m reviewing this app as a user who switched from Evernote for a few reasons. One being my email is hosted through Outlook and the OneNote subscription is included, another being I wanted more “power” features than are available in Evernote. I’ve found OneNote a very functional product with more quirks, bugs and hassles than Evernote. In exchange, you get a notes that can have anything placed anywhere in them, the ability to nest notes and other less notable features.
Cannot sync. Suddenly stopped syncing today.

Cannot sync anything. Tried all ways. Uninstalling app to creating and deleting books. Opening closing etc etc.
Lost some of my data (although I️ was able to recover I️t after time and effort)

I mainly use the app for taking notes in college with my Apple Pencil. It writes fine, the main feature I like is that it can sync my notes to my windows desktop. However, the app often gets out of sync and makes me log in again. One time it got confused and saw that the cloud files and local files did not match up (my local files were the right ones) so it deleted all my local files and replaced them with the cloud ones. I was able to recover it pretty easily but it was still frustrating for me in the middle of class.
It's almost unusable, otherwise it's great.

I'm going to dump OneNote. I'm SO TIRED of its excessive login requests, and buggy syncing and logging in. I'm on a brand new iPad Pro (2017) 12.9, and I should not have to fight OneNote for 5 minutes every month or so and completely miss the opportunity to actually take notes. Shame; this is a good app otherwise. P.S. If someone really does need these excessive login checks, which I doubt, at least make it an option so we can choose our own amount of login checks so we don't have to put up with this crap. I have had to completely uninstall this piece of !@#$ so often, and reinstall it and sync it all again so many times just to get it going again. Obviously no one on the development team uses a new iPad Pro for OneNote, because no intelligent person would put up with this for long.

I have been using this software for over one year on my iPad Pro. It is pretty good and productive, occasionally it is Microsoftly not working. After IOS11, this software is becoming a garbage. It can not memory the thickness of your pen, and always start at 3. It always tell me could not sync, then why I need you? It always collapse, and I need to sync and set my pen again. To sum up, this version, is a garbage.
