ZERO STARS. Avoid.

mschultz

If I could give this app ZERO STARS, I would. Clearly none of the developers, managers, and approvers of this app actually ride Metro North, because if they did, they’d see and understand how truly useless it is. Who’s the genius that decided you can’t see schedule times prior to the current time? If you want to look up when the train you’re riding on arrives at your destination, you’d better do it before it leaves the station, or you’ll need to manually select the next day’s schedule to find out. You literally can’t even select a past time in the date/time picker; it will not let you! You have to select the next day, even if you want to go back 10 minutes. Seriously… this is DUMB and indicates a deep misunderstanding of train travel, commuters, and commuting by the developers (et. al.). Which means that if you need to – you know, SEE THE SCHEDULE – you have to download another app, making this one… U S E L E S S. Find any other Metro North schedule app and use it instead of this one. The developer - Canvas United - should hang their heads in shame. Grade: F-

Not updated for iPhone X screen

JayGeeee123

LIRR Train Time is updated for iPhone X screen. Not Metro North. It’s been 9 months. Why? Also why are there 3 apps when there should be one? (LIRR Train Time, MNR Train Time, eTix for both). Guess what: people use apps in 2018! Make them good!

Poor notice

JayJaymonkey

Inconsistent notice of train delays

Horrible

Mr Crashing Again

The only thing this is good for is the regularly scheduled times. Today my train is running 20 minutes late, making unscheduled stops, and this app shows no problems on the line and this is train running on time. Nothing unusual.

MTA took years to make an app that stinks

scto24

How do you not allow users to see train times in the past for arrival times?

Needs serious bug fixes

Colasante

So I cannot change the bug fix that prevents me from looking at train times previous to my current time even though I downloaded the app and redownloaded it. Also, it should not need reception to work.

Seriously, has anyone who has ever commuted been consulted?

siouxzieb

I’ve been commuting on the MNR for well over a decade. Call me, I’m happy to tell you all about what is useful, and what is not, about a MNR app. This is not it. I love the MNR, I hate this app.

Needs improvement

I can’t for the life of me understand why this app was ever launched without the functionality to see prior train times than current to forward. How possibly can we tell if a train is going to arrive on time if we can’t see past trains. Unless they don’t want us to see that info.....could it be that their poor on time service would be further and blatantly exposed. Fix this app...
