On holiday schedules the app is consistently not forward looking. Regular commuters may only rely on this for irregular days or holidays and in those cases MTA shows normal schedules often until morning-of.

Doesn’t show when trains are late, which they are 99% of the time. Waste of an app

I don’t get the low ratings. Maybe it could be combined with the ticketing app but it is very useful

I figured if I add something to my ‘Favorites’ there would be less work. But it’s more work because the 'Favorites' only show about 6 train times and departure time cannot be changed when I’m on one of my 'Favorites' train path. It gets irritating when I’m checking train times at night so that I can find a morning train but can’t even access it through my 'Favorites’ because there aren’t enough train times and the departure time can’t be changed to what it is currently. I then have to type in the origin and destination again. What’s the point of favorites then? I give it two stars because it at least shows accurate times and delays.

While the app serves the basic purpose of finding train times, it could use a lot of work. I find that the app rarely reflects accurate delay times. In addition, trains are no longer listed after their scheduled departure time, making it impossible to look at status of the train while you are onboard or if you are trying to pick someone up (I would suggest showing arrival times). The app lets select your home and destination station to easily search for trains without having to re-select these every time (helpful). However, this feature only works if you are looking for trains in the next few hours. If you want to search for a train for later in the day or the next day you are not able to select your saved stations. If you search for trains in the future (for example, the next day) there is a flaw which only shows trains after the time you select. So if you are searching for trains that depart at around 6, a 5:59 train would not appear on the list, but a 6:59 train would.

For the past two months when I try to purchase tickets I get a message saying I need to update the app even though I have the latest version. I’ve tried deleting and re-installing but no luck. I’m not sure how to report the bug.

HORRIBLE! the times are not accurate at all and that has caused me so many unnecessary issues. What else can you expect with anything associated with the MTA?!

On the new haven line if you search for a train with destination Grand Central in “search for upcoming trips” instead of using a favorite stores route the train schedule provided gives different times. Really unhelpful when planning a commute.

Most recent update messed things up. It now only shows me past trains not trains that will be arriving soon which is useless.

Latest version broke the schedule of times doesn’t start the list at the current time. So if it is 5pm it shows trains at 12pm which already departed. You have to keep scrolling down pressing more options to get to the correct stuff.
