Metro-North Train Time Reviews

I have been waiting on glenbrook station for 6:32 am train on 10/9/18. The train is not yet here. As per train time it’s on time. No announcements were made till 6:49 when they said “they had mechanical issues and to wait for further announcements”. No announcements since then. Metro north has been highly unreliable in the last few weeks. No verbal notifications on smaller stops. This app is inaccurate with delays most of the time.

The MTA’s own app does not work. Do yourself a favor and get onTime app for Metro North schedules.

Very useful app as a daily train user! Just wish it would support the screen of the iPhone X models but that's not a huge deal!

So why are there two apps? One to buy and one for schedules. Also why can’t I see my current trip? As soon as we leave the station the train route is no longer available. I can’t even search for the train I’m on and there is no code to link my current trip. There is more ...

This app Lacks common sense

This app lacks any ease or mobility when you’re in a rush. You have to program your destinations & you can’t check the train arrival times after the train you’re on has left. Really frustrating & annoying.

What the f*^% is the point of a train time app where you can’t see the train times?

What a ridiculous app. If there are service changes on the line you can see half of one train time. The rest of the page given up to unnecessarily huge display of destination and starting point. The two things you presumably know. What the f*^% is the point of a train time app where you can’t see the train times?

No way to view upcoming time

I get a message that someone I’m to pickup is already in transit on a train. The app won’t allow me to request the train’s arrival schedule. I cannot roll back the time.

Surprise surprise, this MTA app looks fine but is not very useful when you’re actually trying to catch a train. Unlike the subway times app, which is accurate about 99% of the time, this app tells you what time your train is scheduled to leave, and rarely has any information about the actual arrival/departure times of the specific trains. The station monitors seem to work, but knowing I don’t have to run from the subway because my train is running 8 (!) minutes late would be very useful. Please do better, MTA.
