Good app

Pilgrimdrew

Great app. I've used it quite a bit to id new birds. I do wish it let you keep track of birds you've identified on a list with time and date seen.

Super App!

A great app for a new Birder like myself! Very user friendly!

So helpful!

I rely on this app quite a bit, as I am a beginning birder. I have learned so much.

Great app

I use this all the time, especially when traveling. Fantastic.

Great app overall.

Great app overall, but dos not cover all possibilities for species in the area. Also, I think there should be another choice for presence of distinguishing features such as wing bars and spots. Get a correct I.D. 85% of the time. I find it has trouble identifying warblers and sparrows particularly. Works very well for very common birds.

Great addition to my apps

Very easy to use for an amateur bird watcher like me. I really like seeing the possible options so I know what else to look for.

Terrific!

I have been using this for a couple of years. I always find my bird and it is almost always in the top of the list of possibilities. Easy to use, too!

So excellent!

This app is useful, informative, and accurate. I've learned so much about my local birds using it. It's as good as a free app if it's kind can get. However, it falls short of professional bird books: It uses pictures in its ID (instead of illustrations, which are often more helpful for identification purposes) and in the ID process, it lacks a categorization for beak shape. Including beak profile in the ID process would greatly improve its accuracy. Finally, if the app had a way of keeping track of all the birds that you identified in a particular area, it would be helpful for making predictions about migratory bird patterns by time of year in that place. But on all other fronts, it's wonderful! I highly recommend for the amateur bird watcher.

Why can't all apps be this good?

Seriously. It works. It does what it advertises - identifies birds, and I'm having so much fun with it! Especially fun to play the bird calls back to the birds and watch them react to the interloper in their territory. Thank you for a quality, non-buggy app!

Outdoor fun

I love being able to identify birds after seeing cool displays. In the identifier section you should be able to choose time of day so you can more easily search for owls and nighthawks.
