Ads are ridiculous!!

drksully

I love Medscape; it’s a great resource at my fingertips. Lately, however, I can’t read one sentence without having ads insert themselves directly into the text I’m trying to read. Getting information is much more time consuming, trying to re-find the spot where I was reading because the ads move the text! This must be resolved or I will have to find another resource.

Garbage ads

Chapsam4000

The app has become complete garbage. It’s impossible to scroll through any information because new ads pop up and appear out of nowhere. Advertising is one thing, but this makes your product unusable.

Ads are ridiculous

FatCatChasingDogs

Honestly I can’t even read a single section without the ads popping up between text or taking over the whole page. I’ve used medscape for years and I didn’t mind the one or two ads here or there but this is downright obnoxious and makes the app unusable. Either make an affordable ad-free version (not a subscription) or reduce the intrusive ads. Please. For the sake of healthcare providers who use this, don’t make me switch to a different source.

Unable to update

Peeved in Mequon

Just spins for hours. Perhaps iOS 12? Very frustrating.

Wonderful app...destroyed by ad barrage

Аиоиамыд

I love this app, i have used it almost every day in clinical and hospital situations. It is updated daily and provides accurate information. The only con to this app is the near constant barrage of ads when you are trying to actually read the wonderful information contained within. Every time you scroll to read the next paragraph blam you are hit with another bit of advertisement for some medication...

Ads are too much

medscapeads

Great resource historically. Recent addition of pop-up ads every time you scroll makes it almost unusable.

Ads are getting intrusive

Thespanks

I am in ER physician, Having used the Medscape app exclusively for over a decade. It is my go to app for looking up critical medicines and doses in a fast-paced ER. I don’t want to be distracted relentlessly with ads, which I have noticed recently. I know developers need to make $$$, but I need to not be distracted and need efficient information without a massive ad for Tide detergent at the bottom of my lamotrigine drug page...

SUGGESTION

I haven’t used the app long enough to fully review yet, but immediately noticed that’s there’s no ability to personalize, save info, add notes, etc., which would be VERY useful.

Ads make hard to use!

NeuroDO

Ads pop up in the middle of articles, this makes it very hard to read. 5 of 5 without ads.
