Impossible to keep/catchup

badger0609

Scopley has made this game a cash grab. It is near impossible for a new player to catch without spending thousands of dollars. They create new bottlenecks without addressing the old ones. The amount of time and money it takes to stay relevant is astronomical. Don’t be fooled into thinking that you can compete in this game without spending serious cash.

Early game is very fun, too many bottlenecks in the late game

I was having a blast my first year, but it’s a very poorly developed endgame. It just devolves into waiting on resources, I’ve gone from spending a couple to several hundred a month to almost nothing because I do not see the fun or purpose in the endgame. We’ve had 5 new bottlenecks added in the year I have been okaying and not one has been alleviated. It just becomes more and more of a grind. I would recommend playing free to play, but spenders will find better value elsewhere, and less predatory attempts to illicit spending. It has been a very disappointing last two months to cap off my first 13 in the game.

In a tailspin.

Right now the game is heading downward. Forced modes with low quality screen time. Company added a mode called ‘RTA’ which the community begged them not to go forward with. They did it anyway. Absolutely insane ‘deals’ which are spammed at the players through every menu they navigate. Scopely, the new company in charge of this game has gone full money mode. You’d think a smart company would add riveting content before asking you to pay $50 per new character released. Game is in a bad spot right now. Too bad, because the art style is good and I’m a big Marvel fan. I’m just less a fan of blatant cash grabs.

Going downhill fast

Scopley doesn’t care about the players. There are so many bugs with every update. There are so many different bottlenecks. Prices for 98% of the stuff they sell is horrible.

Bugs galore and unlimited bottlenecks

As the title says.

Awful

This game is a dumpster fire right now. Scopely running it into ground.

Scopely’s greed is ruining the game

Foxnext was better at this, all Scopely cares about is screwing over fans and maximizing profits.

Losing its hardcore base

Not Matt Rayford

This game is falling apart and becoming trash. Offers are ridiculous, game modes are exhaustive and “luck” mechanics make the game insufferable. Needs so many reworks I don’t think it’s salvageable. Been playing since Beta and have never left a review on any app in my life but this deserves the 1 Star I’m giving it. Fix you game Scopely!

Scopely ruined it

This game is completely pay to win. If you’re a new player you won’t catch up to be competitive unless you’re spending thousands.

Headed in the wrong direction...

I’m so disappointed in the direction Scopely has taken the game. It’s become a blatant cash grab, with characters, gear, and more locked behind paywalls. Oh you want Bishop? It’ll cost you $50 to unlock him at 3* (out of 7). You then have to hear him up, level his abilities, collect more stars, AND pray you get good red stars on him from the awful RNG. Game modes are broken, RTA is infuriating, Arena is full of cheaters and slingshotting, Sim takes a ton of time even though it’s a sim. And there’s no hope for newer players to compete with end game players rosters making blitz awards out of reach. Customer service is the worst I’ve ever seen, auto responses that don’t even acknowledge the issue you wrote about. $copely is draining the player base for all it can. Don’t even download this game.
