Great game, but...

juy??

I really like this game, as it’s likely the best match 3 style game out there. But there are a few issues that I and others have. First, the AI cheats. Admin and support refuse to admit this, but it’s obvious. Enemy cascades are completely one-sided, especially in difficult levels or when the AI is losing. Also, certain powers choose “random” tiles to affect, and it’s almost always the least convenient placement for the player or most convenient for the AI. I can tell which “random” tiles will be chosen before firing the power with at least 80% accuracy. Not so random once you learn the patterns. Also, the support staff isn’t very helpful. I actually spent money in this game which I usually don’t do, so when I accidentally sold a character that was completely leveled up, I expected them to reverse it. Nope! Doesn’t matter that I supported them with my hard earned money, and it doesn’t matter that it costs them NOTHING to help me out, they just said no. Lastly, there’s never enough ISO8 (in game currency) to go around. I currently have a few dozen characters to level up, but I have to wait until I have enough ISO8, so leveling up characters gets harder as you collect more covers. Not a big deal, but you have to be careful how you spend it. I know I just bashed it a little bit, but other than that it’s a great game.

Was fun, but now...

This game was fun for a while, but as the ever expanding characters were added, ways to recruit these characters were not. Simple progression and the time consuming events to gain one cover (up to 13 needed to max a character) are too strenuous. I’ve played this game since it became available, but have had many people drop the game for these issues. It’s just not fun anymore. Do yourself a favor and play Magic:PQ. They have the right idea. Custom decks, ability to gather specific cards (not random of all characters like Marvel:PQ), various plainswalkers, etc. this game needs to change to gather the same support it had. How are there no wave versus, or other variants. It’s just too hard to gather the new characters without spending a boatload of money. Give it up D3

Great game !

Fix the game to make it more enjoyable

Get rid of two stars in vaults because its really stupid when you only ever pull that or iso only allow 3-4 star characters in vault and have hero points and legendary tokens. Also since there is still elite token and recruit 1 star recruit tokens take 1 and 2 stars out of the ones that you have to use hero points or grind for a token. This will make the game way better and more enjoyable. Also slow way down on adding new covers because it is getting ridiculous on how many are added frequently.

Need more prologue missions!

Rewards are kinda bunk.

Just wish you didn’t get 2-star heroes from Heroic Tokens. Elite tokens are plentiful enough that it makes heroic tokens seem worthless. Kept it from a 5 star review from me.

Not a Bad Game, But Could Be Better

Nrobles1

Puzzle Quest, Marvel’s version of Candy Crush, is a fun & entertaining game. It’s mindless entertainment; however, it could be so much better. I enjoy how matching the different colored tiles allows the Marvel heroes to react in the game. There are 2 main problems; as I see it. 1) Once you reach a certain level, you will have in excess of 1 million <insert the game currency> which is only good for ranking up your character once you receive more comic covers. There’s no other way to use them, no “store” to “purchase” items from etc. and 2) the hero’s points/coins are incredibly slow to accumulate. So unless you’re lucky and keep opening coins to get these hero coins, you just keep plugging away aimlessly.

Very disappointing. Jumped the shark.

(New update: I’m 2-for-60 in my last 60+ legendary token draws. The odds are supposed to be approximately 1:7, so you can do the math and see that this is exceedingly unlikely if the game is fair and on the up and up.) Remarkably, this game has gotten worse and worse regarding stability over the last three years. This game was a hidden gem four years ago, was an excellent game three years ago, and was a pretty good game two years ago. The game has became so bad that they lost their long time community manager, and the forums were overrun with valid complaints and frustrated people who are giving up the game. Customer support for this game is worse than nonexistent. If the game is buggy, expect it to impact you negatively. If you have technical difficulties around an item not showing up in your inventory, do not expect any help. The game continues to raise the level of characters introduced, which means in game currency inflation has gone wild, but the long time entrenched players are still the only ones that stand a chance of winning any of the major prizes. The game has an alliance concept, which means that in order to get the best rewards, you have to join an alliance with very active players. In a completely non-fun meta game, you can go around forums and find which alliance you should join to maximize your game time ROI. At one point this was a five star game for me, albeit with bugs, balance and alliance issues. At that time, there was a community manager who intervened when I had some unpleasant customer support issues, and the game was reasonably balanced, fresh, and fairly bug free. People who didn't want to pay to win could still have a lot of fun. When I was spending money, my chances of getting a legendary 5* character were in the ballpark of 1:7. That’s the published odds. Now that I don’t spend money, my last well over 60+ tokens for latest legendary and classic legendary have seen only two 5* characters total. Even the “RNG” is tilted to encourage pay to win. In its current format, the game is trying to milk as much money out of the new players, and long time players, as possible. The VIP system means that for $10 a month you can (maybe) be remotely competitive trying to keep up with others in this free to play game. In short, stay away.

Soild Game

I love this game. It is a game I like to use to wake up in the morning or fall asleep at night. I started playing a year ago and it is the only game I’ve ever spent money on micro transactions for. I like puzzle games but this was a nice twist on that. My only problem is that they release new characters every two weeks and it does make the game bloated and harder for new players to jump into.

Great game but...

I play this everyday I love it. I just wish there were some changes to the shield simulator bcuz it seems unfair that u assume people in a range of levels have equal characters. And the rate at which leveling up higher character is almost impossible. I’ve had a black panther 255 and the chances of getting him leveled up even 1 or 2 times is impossible let alone 13.
