Although I learned Hiragana/Katakana out of a textbook, I still struggled to read quickly. This was a great refresher and helped me read the Kana rapidly. And I love the “punishment” ads, so clever and really made me want to continue to support this app. It would be amazing if there was another more advanced app for longer words or something more vocabulary-driven, but still this is so useful in building confidence with the basics.

This app is so great. It does a great job of providing a way to study and learn the kana without gimmicks or ads. I love that it includes audio so you learn to associate the symbols with sounds instead of just romaji.

Very good app. Exactly what I’m looking for. Friendly for beginners to random check。

I really need to just learn a few words and how to read hiragana and katakana. This app is the perfect place! It doesn’t annoy you with ads after every lesson, and it’s simple. Though, there should be a part where you can learn just certain lines. Like if you wanna learn the basic a i u e o, or ka ki ku ke ko, have an option for that. Also, how to write them. Other than that, this is an AMAZING COMPLETELY FREE app. I’ve never seen anything like this. I really love whoever made this app. -hunter

I used to do Japanese but got bored and stopped for a while then I wanted to get back into it but forgot most of hiragana and katakana, so I tried this app and it helped a bunch.

I’m using this app as a way to supplement in more practice alongside Duolingo, I just ran through the Hiragana lessons pretty quickly but I’ve been practicing that most lately. I think this is a great app if you want extra help remembering your characters in an organized way. Also the drills seem helpful so far, will continue to use happily. Thank you developer!
